@hirut93et intended correlation there. I know they have children together b/c of haw many times he talks about "her children" and how protective she is of them. But the bottom line is that it is about her moving on as well as him. Because we are too afraid of loneliness to NOT move on. She loses the seeds from her honeymoon and her wedding ring, she closes the window that was always looking out into the back yard. He finally takes one of the sailing ships and passes across the sea...

Yesterday I found out my best guy friend..and the guy i love hates my guts, even though he doesn't act like it. I asked him what I did to make him hate me and he said "I don't hate you!" and I said "You don't?" And he said "No..of course not!" But today his friend told me it was just a lie, and that he just didn't want to hurt me. That he really really hates me. I feel like crying, I need to let it out. But i can't, I feel too dead inside. The song, so far as I can gather, is about the women's life. Each verse is another leap into the future of the women. The first verse is about how happy the woman and her husband are because they're married and have children. The second verse is talking about how time passes and things change. Her children grow up and her life isn't as happy. The third verse talks about how her husban is gone and she doesn't do the things she used to. Fourth talks about her old memories. Etc.
