To be fair Kijana carter had a decent career and wasnt what he was suppose to be due to injury and Marinovich showed brilliance but decided to kill his own career.
Desmond Howard was a great kick returner! I the song makes sense for him cuz they thought they could make him a GREAT receiver. He still was a SB MVP! So no bust, but "MR. UPSIDE"?? yes, lol!!!
I disagree with Ki-Jana Carter in the sense that he got injured in his first pre-season game and was never able to recover. Carter's injury problems throughout is career are not his fault. Flukes happen.
Bosworth wasn't that bad of a player. He was a beast at okla. Ware, marinovich, carter, leaf, phillips, klingler, schuler, they we're also good in college, just couldn't handle the nfl. Some of them just got drafted by teams with no talent whatsoever. P.S. was that alabama lb Quentin Coryatt with the colts #55 @ 3:25? wow, he was hella good in college
Matthew Stafford will be a stud in the NFL. Sanchez will be a dud of a bust. Sanchez is an overzealous kid who wants the keys to a franchise that he will end up wrecking. The Jets have to answer and pay for the sins they commited against Eric Mangini !
matt stafford has bust all written over him. 2nd round value drafted 1st overall, mistake prone, and in a lions team that has no shows of having turned into a winning franchise. this all smells pretty bad
Anybody who can play football very well at the colliegiate level deserves a lot of credit, and if they make it to the NFL (an even bigger honor) and it doesn't go very well, we shouldn't discredit their career.
On the other hand some players are so dominant that the only things that stand between them and stardom are drug addictions (Mandarich), Compulsive gambling (Schliechter) and complete absence of work ethic.
mandarich was only dominante because he took steroids, his fall wasnt drug addiction, only reason he was good was his addiction to performancing enhancing drugs.
Wrong, he won the SB MVP for returning one lousy kickoff for a TD. If you're the 4th pick in the draft you have to be a lot more than just a good return specialist. As a WR he was horrendous. Less than 1600 yards receiving over a 10 year career as the 4th pick in the draft. That is disgraceful!
I must agree. This is BradyFan83's best song. I laugh so hard everytime i listen to it. "Your size and speed simply put a spell on me, so hard not to fantasize dreaming of your 40 time! "
Alot of guys are thrown into shitty situations I think. What if Jerry Rice had ended up on the Colts in the 80's and 90's? What would his legacy be lol. What if Cedric Benson was running behind the OL of the Chargers, what if Ryan Leaf was drafted by the Pats. Football is such a team sport I don't know why players get singled out when they're on a shitty team. Look at what happened the Edgerrin James when he left the Colts.
Benson and Grossman actually put up stats in college. People like Bosworth and Matt Jones had increadible workouts, but suck as football players on all levels.
Bosworth won the Butkus award twice while in college and Matt Jones was a one-man team at Arkansas. Granted, as a quarterback. If we want to talk about guys who were unknowns until they posted a great workout, we can mention Mike Mamula, Vernon Gholston, Troy Williamson. But then there are guys like Urlacher or Chris Johnson of the Titans who actually turn out to be good.
Dude, Bosworth actually went out and performed better than a lot of linebackers, even first rounders. He just made so much hype for himself and got injured into being known as a bust.
Leaf is a sad story, he could have been another Dan Marino, but his head unfortunately is full of rocks. I think if he stayed in school one more year, his career would have been favorable.
Mario Williams is one of the best defensive ends in the league now, no way he's a bust. The Texans are now laughing at the people were laughing at them when they took him over Bush. Also Desmond Howard may not lived up to all of the hype, but he was still good and he won a Super Bowl MVP, that's not a bust.
Desmond Howard wasn't expected to be the greatest WR ever, he was 5'10 18-0 pounds wet, he was a great college receiver/returner and had a productive 11 year NFl career as a kick/punt returner specialist, which kind of what he was expected to be....
Mario in first year as a rookie on a horrible Texans defense with the only good, actually great player Demeco Ryans and posted rookie numbers, his second year he had 14 sacks and caused all kind of heck in the backfield which is what he was drafted for...he is definitely not a bust...
Couch wasnt a bust bitch. He had to rebuild a franchise on his shoulders. He made it to the playoffs. This is why you shouldn't make videos. Because your retarted. Why williams is up here i don't know
He did more then Akili, and Joey Harrington, but with what McNabb, Holt, Edg,Champ Bailey, Culpepper, Kearse,Donald Driver, Aaron Brooks, and Joey Porter were picked after, while Couch has been out the league since 2003. 64 td's, 67 int's despite the Browns 2002 playoff run. You make the call. But agreed the pre-LT Chargers were hopeless
Please dont call Tim Couch a bust. It just pisses me off. He made it to the playoffs. He had no line at all he got crushed... his shoulder got injured he was never the same. Not to mention he brought the browns back from the dead on his back. He didnt do that bad. Ryan Leaf was an absolute joke.
You might want to replace Mario williams with, for example, Mike Mamula or half of the 1st round picks in 1991, like Bruce Pickens or, ugh, Huey Richardson. Jeff George was pretty crappy. Another horrible pick was Brent Fullwood in 1987 for the Packers. Matt Jones might qualify for this list (ask any Jags fan who has watched him show little effort in anything except jump balls in the end zone. Yeah, I'm not bitter about the pick.) Oh, as a former SD native, the Ryan Leaf montage makes me cry.
Russell is a rookie and he was a project Qb from the start. He didn't do that bad when he played, especially when you compare what he did to what Leaf and Alex Smith did as rookies.
I wouldn't add Lemon,Bush, or Beck to this list. Lemon obviously because he was never Mr upside, he was an undrafted free agent. He worked hard to earn a spot on an NFL roster and wasn't surrounded by hype. That being said he can't produce as a starter but is a quality back-up. Bush and Beck are still fairly young, well not Beck since he's 27 but he's only a rookie. Give them another 2-3 years before you put them on this list.
Also, Desmond Howard was a Superbowl MVP and a Pro Bowler. I wouldn't exactly call that a bust. How many 1st round players are that successful and have 11 year careers in the NFL? In a video of 1st round busts, he doesn't seem to rank very high. Though, this was a hilarious song/video regardless!
wouldnt call going to the playoffs each of the past couple of yrs a "bust", but he does have to show alot more now with Tiki in the booth criticizing him
most of these guys suffered because they were put right into the starting position. Also (being a Bengals fan)Warrick and Perry were not busts, Warrick was not given any chances and Perry was never gonna be a starter and he is a good backup when healthy.
there were a few more bengals you should have thrown in there, you had akili smith *shudder*,klingler, who i don't remember because i was 4 or something, thank god, and ki-jana carter, but, to be fair he had one really bad injury although he had talent. anyway, putting in warrick, chris perry or big daddy would have scored.
Chris Perry has been injured practically since he joined the NFL. When he isn't injured he's pretty good for being behind a pro-bowler in Johnson. He's also still very young, and if he moves to another team, stays healthy, and still sucks...then consider him a bust, otherwise I'd hold off on that one.
I don't think David Carr deserves to be mentioned in this bunch. Hopefully he'll get some time at QB this year at Carolina instead of his role at Houston which was basically tackling dummy.
As a Texans season ticket holder, I can honestly say that Carr held this franchise back for 5 long years. He shoulda been pulled after year 2. What a waste of time and money. That's why his new BFF is Mr. Clipboard.
Great song. Best one yet and perfect timing. Why was Mario Williams in it but Charles Rodgers or Mike Williams wasn't? Other than that, I love your work

there were a few more bengals you should have thrown in there, you had akili smith *shudder*,klingler, who i don't remember because i was 4 or something, thank god, and ki-jana carter, but, to be fair he had one really bad injury although he had talent. anyway, putting in warrick, chris perry or big daddy would have scored.

Chris Perry has been injured practically since he joined the NFL. When he isn't injured he's pretty good for being behind a pro-bowler in Johnson. He's also still very young, and if he moves to another team, stays healthy, and still sucks...then consider him a bust, otherwise I'd hold off on that one.

lol @ the armchair qb's. if carr had an decent o-line he would be doing good. sacked how many times? 247??
ztztzyzy 4 years ago
It still seems like he could get a bit over double digits touchdowns, even with a bad o-line.

horsesh!t. Carr blows. His nfl future consists of holding a clipboard.

BradyFan83 strikes again! Excellent my friend.
However, I concur with others here, David Carr has earned himself a spot on this vid. Huge bust.

Great one BF83!

Clipboard.

A halfway decent o-line might have made all the difference in the world.

Great song. Best one yet and perfect timing. Why was Mario Williams in it but Charles Rodgers or Mike Williams wasn't? Other than that, I love your work
