  • Nordstrand's suck. Every time I installed them, I would be pulling them out a few weeks later thinking these pups are Over-rated!

  • hey dave what can you say about yamaha basses? i want to buy one - im a guitarist so i dont know shit about bass brands....

  • @Riotstarter100

Try and get the best you can for the Budget

decide how much you can spend

you may get something REAL good used

    That's my best advise

for a beginner a yamaha would be fine

  • How much did you spend on that Pickup?

    "Too much" lol... jokes...

Once my final recital is done I'm gunna look into getting a nice DI so I can start recording some stuff and post online...

  • dave you forgot to paint the guitar

  • @herrfilm

the wood needs to dry out in the trunk of a car for a few weeks !!!

    then Krylon flat black !!!!

  • @davey4557

You need Krylon to battle the Warmoth.

  • lmao that was a cute amp

  • @Bassist1945

that cute amp has lasted 30 years and been around the world like twice :)

I actually have 2 of them

    bullet proof

    Cheers !!

    Keep playing !!!

  • Oh NO!!!! whats that rumbling Bassie sound in the distance.....its its its.............WAAAAAR MOTH!!!!!!!! What a gorgeous bass!

  • Nice bass! I know what you mean about having 5 strings... Just doesn't feel right after playing with 4. I played bass in a rock band back in the 60's named "Kids Like Us" out of Valparaiso, IN. The biggest innovation back then was going "fretless" bass, or having an electric 12 string guitar in the group. We opted for the electric 12 string. Next newest thing today is a 12 string "fretless" bass with extended mojo electronics. That's pucker power! Cheers Dudes!

    That Warmoth you built...

  • @gyoshoshin

    Thanks for the comment

    Cheers !!!

  • MOTHRA WILL SAVE US!!!!!!!

  • dave, youre an amazing bassist. good job on your assembly. i want to hear more of your work with the killer dwarves. (i think that was the name of the band)

  • @BoNgWaTeRdEmOn

I'll try and make some demo music video stuff in the future of tunes from the past.

Lord knows I have a pile of them !!!

    Cheers !!

  • Yea but that was preety awsome when he strted to play tears in heaven on it....sounded like and acoustic.

  • @unibrow9

He's a talented player. Studied last summer with Victor Wooten :)

  • @davey4557 the style of this guitar is similar to one of wooten's same body and color , if you look at the Fodera Monarch (one of wootens instruments) it looks close to this :)

  • @unibrow9

I'm sure he was looking around while spending 3 weeks at Victor's camp

    very cool !!!!

  • That Warmoth will open up in time and sound complete when the belated Norstrand co. comes through! Then all those knobs will have something to do.

That project came together nice though as well.

  • @GameLevelEditor

If you spend time while ordering the parts they are a snap. the biggest problem is forgetting things you need or not quite having the right tools to assemble

  • Always something to fix on a kit, but thats the fun...cheers good job my firend

  • @alexis221woodworks

    Thanks Man !!!

  • ebony fretboard?

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana

    yes ebony

  • Sounds crispy.

  • 7:12 best thing I've heard yet!

    that bass is fucking awesome

  • I love Warmoth. I order an SG body, and it was perfect, except for a little bit of finish build up, which was no big deal.

  • @Glockenator

    That's to be expected
