I am perplexed and amused on all the horrible misinformation that can be found on these responce posts. Hermie plants produce feminine seeds thats it and thats all. sometimes a rogue "chick with a dick" will sprout but i never have had one pop up. Furthermore, I would have to disagree with "seeded" plants being less medicinally potent. It would take too long to get my point across so Im not going to bother. I'm too baked to care frankly...

Thai seeds were notorious for sexual ambiguity. As stated, stress can induce herms, in hydro a failed water heater had the same effect. In 20 yrs. Northern Lights never did this. I've grown seeds to maturity from a self-seeded plant, and they all came up female, none became herms.

@tissmith that's mostly true but they also have hermaphrodite tendencies and recessive gene traits. you can find females in there that won't herm, but you may have to grow out 100 seeds to find the pheno that has desireable traits and does not herm. that's why i don't believe in feminized seeds.

@OldSCH00L420 yea there most likely to be afro's but if the pollen was to hit a clone or a other fem they will be feminized seeds :) the pro's use Colloidal Silver Spray in the winter cycle sprayed once a day that makes pollen sacks , collect the pollen to pollinate other fems ,. you can pollinate 1 bud if your careful

To dry seeds I have left them in a light for an hour, but thats the easy lart, to germknate the seeds ( makes them able to grow ) you have to take a damp paper towel and fold it over 8-10 seeds and put them in a zip lock bag. Do that for a week and make sure to wet and damp the seeds/ towel. The ones with roots are growable.

Use the pollen from an hermaphroditic female to pollinate a 'true' (non-hermaphrodite) female and everyone of the resulting seeds will be female. When a hermaphrodite female pollinates itself the seeds will all be hermaphroditic females. No seeds that are from an hermaphrodite female pollen will become male because they have XX chromosomes, males need XY chromosomes. Save all those seeds and start breeding your own crosses.

Re-Vegetating a flowering plant will cause it to hermaphrodite. However, the herm seed are most likely feminized.

You've confused the poor girl by changing her cycle. She's struggling with her sexual identity, and she might decide to grow balls, but then again she might not. If you don't have a new line of plants vegging and ready to flower (and this is preferable), by all means take your chances and re-veg.

good tip, if you can break the seeds with your fingers, thumb-index-squeeze...they are not good potentials or worth the time.look for what looks like veins rollin through it.distlled water 24 hours.dark space, works. i damp a paper towll and keep in dark space for 24 hours like an old cracker box or something. for however long just keep checking them,and keep it moist.plant accordingly...

put the seeds u want to crack in a cup filled half way with distilled water for 24 hours..if they crack open pull them out of the cup and put them between a bandana for about 2 days..make sure everytime the bandana is starting to dry pour more water over it and u should see if they are good or not...
