  • Mary had guts and strength to keep going with how she must have felt. This is an amazing clip and I thank you for posting it.

  • No matter what people say, she is still beautiful.

  • I really wish I knew they were doing this concert... I would have traveled to see it. I grew up with these guys and occassionally pull out all of the oldies and have a PPM night!

    RIP Mary!

  • un grand moment de bonheur et une lecon de volonté de vivre meci

    R.I.P, MAYRY

  • this was one of their last concert

  • who are the other two musicians?

  • Excellent...saw 'em only once live in '84...we all age, we all day, certainly I'm more than twice the age I was when I saw them perform. I busted out crying watching this. And that's okay. Thank you for posting Bill and Roxie.

  • Mary always had a song in her heart and I will be forever grateful that she shared it with me. Sleep in Peace, Lovely Lady!

  • Mary Travers was a beautiful soul and we are all blessed to have had her in our lives! My biggest regret is that I never got to meet her! I still miss her to this day!

  • The flesh grows old and sick but the spirit lives forever. Isa. 40:6-8 Jeremiah 9:23-24

  • Mary was a beautiful girl back in the 60's. It's hard to even watch her the way she looked before she died.

  • No it's not. I just see Mary. One of the most beautiful souls God put on this earth.

  • TYVM Mary......You will be missed///

  • TYVM Mary......You will be missed///

  • she was a lady with much love in her heart

but you know the best people go always as first and the most cruel ones mostly become really old ... sadly

  • Such a beautiful person. My mother passed from Lymphoma after a stemcell transplant so I pretty much know how Mary was feeling here. Always loved Mary Travers!

  • P P&M-- 2 Baritones and a Blond Bombshell with the voice of an angel.Thank You for your music. Mary i know you sing with the angels now.

  • I wrote my first line of music to P P & M's pretty mary..."when I feel like crying, there's no place to go..but the old stream in the meadow, where I played long ago.

    Thank you P P & M..Thank you Mary

  • this was her love

  • This is so sad - she is obviously very ill, but is still putting forth the effort to enjoy life. And her life was entertainment. I was lucky enough to see them once on a reunion tour.

  • I shall never forget the first time I saw a Peter, Paul and Mary record in 1962 on my return from South America. Peter was my brother's high school classmate so I recognized him immediately. Their music blew me away, still does after all these years. RIP Mary, you were the greatest of our generation.

  • So sad how sick she was. But, she did what she loved right to the end. How wonderful and beautiful she was. Folk on Mary. RIP

  • forget shaw springfield & hopkin, this lady was THE greatest of her generation,,,,....

  • gracias por la magia y tu mensaje de paz, canta eternamente en el cielo

  • she was very sick and kept on going god bless you Mary, and thank you for such heartfelt memories

  • Thankyou Mary for all the smiles that brought to so many people....RIP!

  • SAD NEWS! I didn't know she was that ill .! We love you Mary, RIP.....

  • Sadly missed...

  • bye Mary, loved your music. it was a part of my childhood, such nostalgic memories......thanks also peter and paul. you don´t know what impact your music had on me.

  • Forever beautiful. Ridiculously talented. The woman who single handedly proved that "sexy" and "folk music" were not mutually exclusive terms. Her vocals on 1967's "Too Much of Nothing" still put a chill in my spine. Peace be with you, Mary.

  • Mary, oh how we will miss you!

Your voice and your soul was so needed on this earth.

    Rest in peace.

    I will always remember you!

  • Could someone please post a recording (not live) of peter paul and mary singing

500 miles. I do not mean to be unkind but there are so many covers and they will never match this so please stop trying.

  • Peter and Paul are great guitaists and singers, but they would have been nothing without Mary.

  • Mary Travers and I are both survivors of acute myelogenous leukemia. She's been a hera of mine for decades and will remain so.

  • They could still be performing with walkers 10 years from now and still be better than 90% of whats out there!! God Bless PP&M

  • Yeah Pal you got that right 100%

  • Mary Travers has Leukemia and regardless that little is being reported about it, her treatment has ravaged her. This was by far her most guttiest performance and believe me, she knows her condition but she's still willing to perform for her audience.

  • I understand it's hard not to focus, if not notice the ravages ot time on the mortal body. But good god people. Listen to their musicianship, their voices. Even on this low quality rendering they are BY ANY STANDARD AMAZING.

  • I would have never known that was Mary till I heard that great powerul voice. The years haven't been good to this lady, but then again, they haven't been so good to me either. The Orlean's casino cleaned my clock many years ago, and I haven't been back since. Revenge will be mine, in the next life. :)

  • she has cancer for gods sake give her a break

  • We all get old. And we deteriorate. But most of us don't leave the legacy that Mary did. PPM still my favorite.

  • I was young when they were young. And now we've all become (relatively) old. They are doing better than I am, however. Peter, Paul & Mary have always been my favorites!

  • What a wonderful to see Mary !!!

    An exemple of woman:

A Fighter, an explendid, sweet Big Girl.

Apesar do seus problemas graves de saude, ainda compartilha sua maravilhosa voz com seus fans.

Que exemplo de mulher, de artista, de tudo!

    Thank You Mary

And GOD bless you for all eternity.

    XXXXXXXXXXX

Thank you very much for post.

    Hugs

  • I can't believe they're still performing! God bless 'em. They've still got it.

  • To Whomever Made This PP&M Video...Thank-You!! I'm Still In Awe Of How Well They Still Sing Together, After A Break-Up, They 1ST Got Back Together The Year I Was Born, Which Is: 1974!!

  • im so glad i have found them. im new to i started listening to them when i was 15 now im 17 i still neeed to get thier songs.

  • Well, I am 71 now.......I guess I can't expect them to be in any better shape than me....... Ah but when we were young.........

  • Wonderful classic! It's my favorite songs . Now you can check videos of polish folk band "1z12" - visit my profile :) have a good time .

  • In her day, Mary was such a beautiful woman and still is today - but it is sad to see her now in this condition, barely able to walk and having to use a cane. They can still sing great though. What a treat to get to see these legends in person. I heard on the radio that Mary had some kind of serious health condition but I forget what it was. God bless her though. Thanks for this video. Great to see these guys still performing today.

  • This growing old is no fun! I saw them in July 1968 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. at the SPAC. I was then 13. Mary was then an absolutely stunning woman. (Remember, I was a 13 year-old boy then!). It's scary what time does to us and we can't do anything about it. Mary, if you read this message, may God bless!

  • I'm actually a young newfound fan of PPM. i've been lookin for new covers and stuff to play for open mics and what not. i started with bob dylan and he has brought me here. awesome.

  • Glad you found my little video of PP&M. I am very proud to have shot it and gotten it out for all the fans, like ourselves, who still love the trio so much. Look in the rest of my vids for my cover of "Don't Laugh At Me", you may like it for open mic shows... it's a crowd pleaser for sure. TY for the nice comment.

  • Their spirits are still young and vibrant.

  • I also met with ppm 45 years ago. I got to know how to enjoy the music, and beauty and life from them. And I am one of ppm fans who is continuing seeing them since then. My band covered the music of ppm 40 years ago. If you are interested, please click ID of mine. and listen to "i dig rockn roll music・・・

  • I went, I looked... but did not find a video of "I Dig Rock & Roll Music". I was disappointed. But, I did go look for it. TY for the nice comment on my PP&M video. There is a vid of me doing "Don't Laugh At Me" in my videos... check it out when you have a minute.

  • Life is a journey, a very slow journey. At least, it seems slow when you're young. Then one day you wake up and say, "Holy cow, that was fast! What happened?" One minute you're young and then ... Poof! ... you're watching a YouTube video of Mary Travers ... with a cane. It brings tears -- happy tears, but tears!

  • Same feeling. I am 61 and I remember beeing at the Lycee (=high school in france) listening those records while staring at the photograph because I was a kid in love with the image of Mary. Was it yesterday or in another life? (excuse my english, I'm french)

  • The first record album I ever remember seeing and hearing was "(Moving)"...I was 5. That they are still here and undiminished makes me so proud. Kids today may never feel the wonder of musical discovery like folks like PP&M gave to me.

  • Been a fan of this wonderful trio for over 40 years- since I was 11. Love 'em.

  • Mary is showing drastic amounts of aging in her body but the voice is still there. It's an amazing statement. I just checked on their web site -- two back surgeries. The woman is tough as nails.

  • THESE are True Americans; unlike that clown and his buddies who "run" our country (into the ground). God bless PP&M.

  • Thank you. This was the music I listened to in the 60's. They are still great!

  • Open Letter to Peter, Paul & Mary...Why haven't any of you come out aginst the present brutal War in Iraq and Afganistan??? I hope you all make some kind of statement as the Dixie Chicks and others have.

  • Compared to Peter, Paul and Mary, the dixie chix are microscopic, single-celled bacterium.

  • iowa61...you call the Dixie Chicks microscopic, single-celled bacterium. I personally am not into their kind of music, however, I admire them very much for taking a brave stand against this brutal and illegal war which has been thrusted upon the American people by an inept imbecile of a leader, who is responsible for the loss of many American soldiers and millions of innocent Iraqi and Afgani men, woman, and children.

  • Exqueeze me. I don't need a few ignorant, rich, brats to tell me how to think and what to believe.

On artistic merit alone, I stand by my comparison (or rather, contast).

  • Mary had to fight for her life several years ago . She underwent bone marrow transplant for non hodgkins lymphoma . I saw her at the Waikiki Shell during 1963 and she was so young and pretty .

  • billmills: Thank you for sharing your treasure!

I have loved PP&M's music since I was a teenager...I am now in my 30s.

I wish I could be able to see them in concert at least once in my life!!

  • GOD Bless you PP&M... your music is as meaningful now as it was 45+ years ago.

Take care... we need you NOW more than EVER!!

  • They are still the most beautiful people with the most beautiful music.

  • What a treasure! Thank you. I am in tears. They were the music of my college life in the early '60 and I saw them in concert then and several times since, the last time at least 10 years ago. Watching the Pete Seeger special on PBS tonight made me come to Youtube hunting them. I'm so glad to know they are still making music.

  • I am 41. My dad had their very first album - I remember laying on the floor by the stereo listening to Side A over and over - especially "It's Raining, It's Pouring." When I was 18, I saw them for the first time live and have seen them 4-5 times since. I was born in 1966. I love them and their music.

  • I love PP&M&D&P, Mary bless your heart, you are a great inspiration to me - it's obvious you were in great discomfort, but nothing is going to stop you from doing what you love.

    Saskia

  • When I was a university student, I was copying their songs.

    They were my superstars.

This video gave me energies. Thank you.

  • Mary, Mary, Mary...what a puddin pie you were and what a brilliant spirit you are. sing on sweet trio and God bless.

  • Thank you so much for posting this.

  • It took a lot of guts for Mary to get out there and be compared to the 60's..

Considered America's greatest folk song... It was writen by Woodie Guthrie 1943..while serving his country aboard a merchant ship during WW2..torpedoed..He and shipmate Cisco Houston rescured another sailor.

  • I've only seen PP&M once in person, but it's one of my most treasured memories. I'm delighted that Mary is back in action- the poor, brave darling.

  • OMG I was just thinking about them here while I was looking at other old groups here and i came across PPnMary omg after 40 years they are still here with us in 2007 i am now 55 and I was 15 n 1967 and i still have there old 45 single today I dig Rock n Roll music ty ty for the posting of them.

  • they may be old, yet the music is still there. How I wish the younger generation will see with their hearts how wonderful it was during the 60s.

They sung here in Manila to celebrate with the Filipinos the joy of being free again.

The really are amazing. Thank you Peter, Paul and Mary for your songs!!!!.

  • God bless these legends..consistent in their credo and values..never heard anything awful about this trio since they rocked the world with their creative music back in the 60s..the darling of the group, dearest Mary, the PPM's flawless signature voice powerhouse, the passionate groove, we have you in our prayers, get well and keep on singing!

  • I grew up listening to the Legendary PP&M. Blowing In The Wind, affected me at a very young age & still makes me cry when I hear it.I'd love to share something with all PP&M lovers out there.2yrs ago I listened to a group called October Project & fell completely in love with a song they recorded called "Bury My Lovely" I realized after a 1,000 listens,(& w/all due respect to O.P.),it was PP&M all over again...& get this, their singer's name is also Mary.

  • GOOD! Took 40 years but they finally gave that poor lady her own microphone!

  • They are my idol and they're still great.

    Thanks for this VIDEO

  • My, they sure defined a generation.

Mary, there is the picture of dignity. Great!

  • Thanks for this info. This country needs people not afraid to speak out. We do not have anyone to do it for us, as in the past.

  • We invite you all to check out our photos from the show too! You'll find the url for the photo album at the end of the video's full description. (Just click 'MORE INFO' for the full description)

  • Thank you for this.

They are the icons of our generation.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. As you must know, Mary has leukemia, and we must honor her NOW. They have always been paramount in the anti-war movement. Just as they honored John, Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandella ... we need to honor them NOW for the great gift they have been to our generation. Thank you very much.

  • With all my heart "You're Welcome"! And thank you for the wonderful comment and lovely sentiment.

  • @susancarol225 Actually I had no idea Mary was sick until her death was announced. I wish I knew. I really wish I knew. But thanks for posting this. It's wonderful.

  • i just saw them in Newark...they're fantastic....it seems they have the same song order and commentation on the songs as they did on April 21...

  • Long live Peter, Paul and Mary ^_^

  • FANTASTIC
