I think that this painting really carries and shows your emotions, and shows the true deep-ness of this painting. You portrayed those emotions extremely well, and used everything in your drawing to further aid in the main goal of your painting... great,  great job. I am three years down the road and my hole has still not been filled. This piece of art is a true encapsulation of the emptiness a broken heart leaves. Absolutely true emotion is seen in this interpretation.I have been trying to find a voice for my on going pain but this piece of art says it all so correctly. I love it, thank you.

Mmmm, ich weiß nicht was ich davon halten soll. Klar, war symbolisch und hatte ne tiefgründige Bedeutung, irgendwie modern. Hilft gegen den Schmerz mal sowas zu machen, aber ich denke, du solltest zu deinem alten Stil zurück kehren. Das hier war mir ein wenig zu experimentell. Vom rein künstlerischen Aspekt nichts halbes und nichts ganzes. Aber du bist ein großartiger Künstler und das ist nur meine Meinung!

I'm glad your getting over your break-up. =) Getting your feelings out through artistic expression is really good. I like the simplicity of the painting. It sends a very clear message. I think it is great to see something that sprouted from the core of you. Like they say, the only way to get rid of an old flame is to replace it with the new. As an artist, though, really enjoy the inspiration from your emotions.

I like it a lot. A little bit too "emo" for something I might hang in my house but it seems good as a representation of personal emotion and and probably a good object to vent frustration into, even if you don't keep it around.

So true. I feel when I am depressed I write better and can sometimes write poetry. I think so many times we repress our feelings and push them down. When we have a fight or something really shocking happens it rocks our world. It is such raw emotion and sometimes just being alone to paint is healing.

The painting was very well done. I liked the gender neutrality of the two figures and I think that makes it so that anyone(M or F) viewing the painting can connect with the emotions being conveyed. I also liked the idea of the black swirls and blood symbolizing the emotion and violence of having your heart broken. However, I would have preferred if the "heart" was an image of an actual human heart and not the stylized "valentine's day" heart.

Moin,keine Ahnung ob ich dir auf Deutsch oder Englisch antworten soll, aber da man hier so selten die Geleghenheit dazu hat...

Generell will ich dir sagen, dass du ein toller Künstler bist bzw. ne Menge Talent hast, ABER der Punkt bei diesem Bild ist einfach, dass deine Bildsprache hier sehr einfachfach gehalten ist, genau wie der verwendete Stil. Von daher seh ich nich ganz, wie deine Trennung dich hier positiv inspiriert, es wirkt eher als seist du nun zu sehr auf dieses Thema fixiert. ...

...und kannst dich nur schwer anders ausdrücken bzw. bist eben auf Grund der Trennung in deinem Schaffen und Denken eingeengt. Ok es könnte ja sein, dass du dies mit in deinem Bild ausdrücken willst, aber du sprachst von positiver Inspiration und die sehe ich wie gesagt nicht wirklich. Dies sind wahrscheinlich eher die Punkte, warum es einigen Leuten weniger gefällt und auch ich kann mich nicht ganz für das Bild erwärmen. Dies liegt aber vor allem, dass du andere Möglichkeiten hast das Thema...

Büdde, aber ich glaub beim Schreiben is wohl das was ich ursprünglich sagen wollte etwas verloren gegangen bzw. kam zu kurz.

Ich hab ja deine sehr einfache Bildsprache im ersten Kommentar erwähnt... damit wollte ich eigentlich sagen, dass das, was du ausdrücken willst, etwas sehr offensichtlich rüberkommt, wenn nicht gar plump rüberkommt... es erinnert mich ein wenig an die "Werke" die Emo-Mädels in ihre Schulhefte kritzeln. Ich wollte das nur nochmal hervorheben, auch wenns hart klingt.

Ok alle Mann zurück, wenn ich dein Bild aber nach den Kriterien von Pop-Art betrachte, sprich allen Leuten leichter zugänglich und gleichzeitg ein Spiegel der Zeit, dann muss ich wohl dann wohl doch sagen, dass dein Bild sehr gut ist ^_^, naja muss mich wohl bedanken, dein Bild regt wirklich zum Nachdenken an.

Wenn meine letzt Theorie richtig ist, dann gibts aber keine wirkliche Stilveränderung bei dir, oder?

at first I thought it was lame, but the lack of detail in the person and hand were incredibly made up for by the branches and swirls let off. I didnt really enjoy the explanation only because I feel that some art like that should be interpreted by the viewer.
