@darthmo72 Yup. I think it's for dramatic build-up, plus it really adds to the mood after defeating the End (the previous boss). Also, because you start in a valley and end up at the top of the ladder on a mountain.

Dude, you make this look easy. I kept getting stuck about half way through when it goes into it's final phase and you have to keep going up. My will power broke man, I dunno how you do it. Any tips for this boss guys? It seems like the developers put this in just to piss off the players. I do like a challenge but this shit was retarded hard.

@FatBastardIRL Dude, don't feel bad. Everybody gets stuck on this boss on their first time. This video was actually my 9th attempt to beat the boss. If you look closely you can see that I edited out all the parts where I took damage so that I'd look more pro for YouTube.

This segment is great, but it is weird to me because if any other game had a segment where it just forces a player to hold a button while listening to a song it would get immensely shit on for that alone.

dude you have to be playing on easy or something; your stamina hardly goes down at all.

On Extreme, even with full stamina at the start at the end it usually ends a bit past half empty

The boss battles, the stealth action, the characters and story... none of it matched this moment in the game for me. This is something thrown in just because the creator wanted it, and I connected with this moment in such a profound way. What a great gesture, to just have a long tunnel where the player is on a track and can enjoy listening to the sweet music. This section represents the entire game for me, and I loved every second of crawling along that ladder.

Really? Out of curiousity I decided throw stuff down the shaft, grenades because of the arc exploded pretty fast and normally hit the wall. Doesn't matter though even if the grenade was dropped down the shaft vertically it would explode before it hit the ground....or just after Operation Snake Eater finishes.
