good breathing and form. i personally like to do theese (if i do em at all) at the end of my triceps workout. i do this because this excercise puts hella stress on your elbows. there are people with bad elbows from doing these heavy. i do em at the end when my triceps are already pretty worn out then i do lighter weight and strict form emphasizing the negative. that will make the bows last longer.

I get the best resuls by far over the decades doing exactly as he is, which is the most effective and puts the least amount of pressure on joints. Keeping the elbows in is a nice waste of time it doesn't matter and is distracting not to mention harder on the joints.
im no way as big as you but i was doing about 40kg-45kg with elbows out wide like that. i fucked my elbow up doing it. i moved the weight down to about 30kg and forced my elbows in. much more isolation and made loads more progress on triceps.
but then again as i said, you are bigger than me and you look like you know what your doing!
@billyblue8 Elbow positioning isn't a big deal actually. As far as getting injured, that could've happened from any number of things including too much weight and lack of warmup, not the ROM you used. Behind the head is easily the best and most effective and is less harsh on the elbows.
Very nice form, but to address other peoples observations, i believe coming behind the head on the eccentric refered to as a french press. Skullcrushers you come to the forehead.
Also i see no preoblem in keeping the elbows out, i find it tends to ephasize the long head a little more.

Skulls are pretty useless in comparison-not only do they work the tris a whole lot less they also put more pressure on the elbows and it's much easier to drop the weight on ones face. Extensions behind the head as he's doing are the best version by far, though few in gyms know it or do it.

@qeni Whatever works for ya but for most people the version he's using is by far the best-much better and direct on the tris, less pressure on the elbows and none of the risk of hitting one's forehead as is done on skulls and the version you're using.
@qeni Going back doesnt reduce the effect at all it actually further engages the lats and long triceps. after the arms bend to a certain point and he goes back its the same as normal skull crushers
i can't keep them in when using an EZ curl bar no matter how light i go, so therefore i stopped using an EZ curl bar, and now just use a straight bar so i can adjust my grip, i think i specified that in a previous comment already...
forms good, just bad angle, and as far as keeping the elbos in, my lats are too wide to do it, i couldn't even do it with an empty bar, and for that reason i switched to using the straight bar for skull crushers, so i can move my hands a bit wider, i no longer use the ez curl, and my elbows feel a hell of a lot better...
