The difference between Kobe and Lebron and Wade is that when Kobe was younger he had Shaq cloging the paint so he couldn't get to the basket as much and perfected his jumper, while Lebron and Wade didn't have a legit post player so the paint was open for them.

When Wade got Shaq you saw him work more on his mid range jumper because Shaq had the paint.

So yeah eventually when they can't get to the rim and dunk anymore they'll shoot better, kinda like MJ.
