Nobody comments on that but in the clip here, we see actually THREE living Members of the Band. Let's not forget about Sir George Martin who often played piano ON BEATLE albums, made musical arrangement and introduced them to classical music. Without him, Beatles would stay in Cavern stage so to say. Heil to Sir George. Thanx for creating LOVE album and "In My Life". It's like re-living it through.
i dont know, the middle part, when john sings without lyrics, it reminds me of "hush" by Deep Purple. So is the original melody by the Beatles or by Deep Purple?
btw i dont like the noise too... it just gets too loud.
WHAT?! "Hush" came out in 1968! "A Day In The Life" came out in 1967!!!! John Lennon wrote this in "EARLY" 1967!!! Don't EVER compare Deep Purple to John Lennon or The Beatles!!
@Brandojack1369 You are wrong dude. The song Hush was released in 1963 by Billy Joe Royal and it has the same "nah nah nah nah..." as the Deep Purple cover. BTW I had ten times the fun seeing Deep Purple live than listening to any Beatles album.
take it you're a Yank, how you gonna come and kill me? A man from your country killed one of our greatest talents, you're all fucked mate you're fucking nutjobs.
I accuse your country of being a bunch of murderers and you threaten to kill me, nice one x
Don't bother with that jerk, people are people all over the world. The duality of good and evil in man knows no sovereign boundries of any particular country.
you blind people they changed the world maby john is dead but his music will live for ever!!!! and will bring light where there is no hope... alll you need is love the most wise words ever.......
"Dear terror collector:welcome to the club of the people that were born late to really enjoy the Beatlemania or, should I say The Beatles were born very early because their music is not obsolete."...
wtf is this maddness?? what ignorance it must take to not understand the incredible beauty of their music. the beatles created music that will never stop playing. the impact they had on the world continues today. i believe they illustrated lifes truth in their music...a truth humanity as a whole is only beginning to grasp.
This is the Most Amazing Beatles song ever I'm only 27 I was Born on the wrong century I have to thank my Mom for bringing this Music with her in life...
Dear terror collector:welcome to the club of the people that were born late to really enjoy the Beatlemania or, should I say The Beatles were born very early because their music is not obsolete.
I remember when I heard that John Lennon was dead. I asked "Who's John Lennon?". I was nine at the time and I had heard of the Beatles but I didn't know who they were or what they did. I am older and better informed now.
Well the session for the orchestra climax took place on Feb.10,1967 in Studio One from 8:00 p.m to 1:00 a.m. and the whole thing was filmed by The Beatles. Like Let It Be, there was an idea to make a TV special about the making of Sgt. Pepper but it never happened. This crazy film footage was supposed to be the start of that. The overdub session of the orchestra turned into a big party and everyone dressed up crazy!
Yep. That's Jagger AND Marianne Faithful! Keith Richards too. Not to mention John talking with Mike Nesmith of The Monkees and Donovan's in there as well!
This absolutely was one of the greatest rock songs ever recorded. The production, the lyrics, the vocals, the time period in which it was recorded, the linking of the sections, the orchestra climax in the middle eighth and at the closing, the piano crashing at the end. MY gosh...need I say more????
The beginning was based on 2 stories John Lennon read in the Daily Mail newspaper: Guinness heir Tara Browne dying when he smashed his lotus into a parked van, and an article in the UK Daily Express in early (cont.)
1967 which told of how the Blackburn Roads Surveyor had counted 4000 holes in the roads of Blackburn and commented that the volume of material needed to fill them in was enough to fill the Albert Hall. Lennon took some liberties with the Tara Browne story - he changed it so he "Blew his mind out in the car."
Im only13 and a boy but I say this is about drugs and dope. looks like it to me.

Where can you get this version of the song? On the Sgt. Peppers album the beginning is garbled up by the dumb Sgt. Peppers crowd effects. Thanks.
Nominay 4 years ago
i think it was made like that because I have the album of the song with the crowd noise it sucks...
PieDenie 4 years ago
it was mixed in like that, not recorded like that - you can hear the original right here on this video - it's different
