  • Beautiful song, you can tell it means a lot to him as he sings, just wonderful.

  • Great song.

  • ACAVIDEO, you speak truth my friend. But, not all the ranchers are greedy, land raping, profits at all costs cretins.....just most of them. There are a few who truly care and are stewards of the land. They manage their cattle well and protect the streams and rivers that cross their land. Unfortunately most dont give a damn, they just run rough shod over the land and streams, leaving a mess in their wake.

  • Brilliant :) Love this song :)

  • My new favorite musician. Epic.

  • makes me sad when i listen to it...

  • poo yip poo yip poo

poodi hoo di yip poo di yip poo

    I love this song.

Search YouTube for the Anica version......

  • yes Sir

  • i love this song <3 make me think of Timothy love him <3

  • @zantox100

agreed - I just finished watching Grizzly Man a few minutes and found myself looking for the song straight away.. such a great way to finish

  • @swimfit1902 Yeah it was a great ending, very appropriate

  • @acavideo I think it may be less the cowboy/cattle culture and more the population explosion that caused all the things to be "gone". People have to eat and it takes alot of land to grow crops and cattle to feed alot of people. Not wanting a debate, just 2 cents worth from a proud rancher who by theory may be part of the problem and would still give almost anything to see the things that "used" to be . Have a good one

  • Very natural Guy Don Edwards is... indeed.

    Mr. Edwards ------ Respect.

  • This song reminds me of my granpa.

  • @TheBroncStomper same! mine loved western films and music

  • @JesikaMS ya i remember wen i was little we watched John Wyane movies all day if we could an between each movie he told me stories that the movie reminded him of.

  • This is not "country", its western. Years ago when I was younger it was actually called country and western music, thats when all the good bands and singers had a wetsern cowboy theme, during the 80's they dropped the western and went only country and lost a lot of its soul in the process.

  • @MrAzrancher well you're right, country music today sucks ass. But it's not because they lost the western motif. It's because record producers and country "artists" think they can re-package the same crap over and over again and keep feeding it to the masses. It's all just over produced pop music.

  • @MrAzrancher John Denver always spoke about this too how people confused country and western music together. This song is definitely not country, but probably one of the best that captures the spirit of the wild. Great words by Bob McDill and singing by Don.

  • @MrAzrancher You just aren't finding the right artists then if you believe it's lost soul.

  • @MrAzrancher amen

  • @MrAzrancher

Uhm, what's the difference between "country" and "western"?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBlackFrog79 The Mississippi river ;-) Country has its roots in fold songs and mountains of the Appalachia. Western is based on the cowboys western lifestyle

  • @fishermanswife1957
