@bkmustang07 Doubles were banned 4 years ago or so. It was especially unfortunate for Kentucky since they used them to kinda distinguish themselves from the others - they were the only squad to literally throw 4-6 of them every year (w/o the spring floor!) - check out their early 2000s routine.

@cheergurl1017 no genius, this is college cheer, theres no levels at all in college cheer, but in gymnastics, it goes up to level 10, and I sarcastically said they were level 10 because they are all incredible gymnasts, who knows what level they really are. And, just so YOU know, if they DID have levels in college cheer, Kentuckys prymids/baskets are level 6, so they dont ONLY do level 5 stunts as you claim. Know what youre talking about before you try and show people up with your "knowledge"

And that last part, I don't get. The girl did not say anything about stunting, just tumbling. Level 6 tumbling is not something that UK does. End of story.

@raclip02 If you know anything about Louisville cheerleading then you would know that all their cheerleaders are not all-around cheerleaders. They may have two or three. That's why you can tryout as a stunter or tumbler. Don't get me wrong I do love Louisville but Morehead and Kentucky do have the best cheerleading programs in the country. You have to look at their skills and how clean they are. They make the sh*t look easy and we all know it ain't.

@cdmcw If you think about it, Louisville doesn't compete only once a year, they're constantly competing outside of NCA and different divisions of NCA other than Collegiate Division. That's why I say Louisville is more legit, because they have more than one program running and they still come out on top at Worlds, Cheersport, NCA All Star Championship and Collegiate (All girl, Large and Small Coed). Kentucky only competes once. If you think about it, who's pushing the envelope more?

@raclip02 It all depends on your perspective. I definitely think UofL is more flashy than UK but Kentucky's difficulty is higher and the squad is more balanced. For instance, UofL's tumbling is amazing and they throw a higher # of difficult individual passes, but I haven't seen a routine where every member throws a full like UK. UofL throws more creative stunts (prob easier with more ppl) but the actual elite sequences aren't as difficult and clean as UK's and often require 2 bases.

@SuperTL1985 I completely agree with you, however, the score sheets at both UCA and NCA are different and the judges are looking for different things, as well. Also, the thing about UofL is that they get a set of people who are exceptionally well in stunting and a good set of people who are exceptionally well in tumbling. When you put the two together, you've got a powerhouse. I do agree on you with the balance part about it; everyone on UK's team has both good tumbling and stunting.

i found it odd that there are no jumps. in competitive cheerleading jump lines are required to get full points.

@MissLaLaLand7744 There are no jumps needed in a UCA routine. UCA does not ask for that. UCA sticks to the traditional clean and cut cheerleading. No other squad that competed in Division 1A threw a jump because it is not needed for UCA's point system nor asked of the cheerleaders to do so.
