If you are searching only for practical or material gain or how to beat crud of people with one finger, Aikido is not for you.
Yeah it looked like he slipper.. or liek all people are flying around. But I bet you would try to fly yourself as well as you feel how your hand ir being broken. Ukes (the technic resievers) learns to "fly" fro mteha ttack before they feel pain. Thats why sometime it look liek fake. Since tou cant train aikido on punchign sacks, you do it on people.
Aikido people get as defensive as christians do when you point to holes in their perfect little sheltered world. And i have read the principles of Aikido. So mystic, so enlightened, so cultish. At 4:29 a guy flips over that wasnt even touched! And i do know why the UFC doesnt attract Aikido practitioners, no, not the small joint manipulation, its because what they do wouldnt work on an attacker that had some training or doenst flip over when you wave your hand at them.
The techniques of Aikido worked at decades of War why do you think it had to be prooven in the UFC? UFC its just sport and not real world. If you are searching an ULTIMATE SELF DEFENCE buy a Heckler & Koch USP or a Glock. Aikido is a lot more then you understand at this moment.
Thank you for proving my point again. Aikidokas are fanatical and hide behind mystisim and the old "you dont understand" generic reply. That just fuels my fire.
Im so sick of these staged demonstrations (wasa). Where are the real aikido videos where there is real world combat applications? Why is it these "amazing masters" dont participate in the UFC? I think the answer is quite clear.

LoL, ok now I don't understand what that Mystism is you pointed.
A Heckler & Koch isn't very mystic.
I just saying that Aikido isn't the perfekt Way of Self Defense but it is good enough.
Think what you want, i don't care about people hiding behind disrespect and aggression.

If you think his uke did all the job. Next time, go to his seminar and be his uke then you can experience it for yourself.

Very nice, Tissier Sensei never ceases to amaze me....
I can't believe that comment was made one year ago. That was the first time I watched this video, yet I still learn from it... amazing.

合气道的技术的确可圈可点。。。。。。似乎还要强健的体格来做技术的保证。

Great master, and excellent footage. The randori at the end looked a little staged though. But I still wouldn't mess with the man.
