I'm tired of people saying that it's Shay's job to be the Scout leader of Sontard's Den. My mom was my Den Leader in Cub Scouts. In fact, most of the Dens in my Pack were run by moms. I think it's important for kids to see women in roles of leadership other than just as mothers as it teachers respect for the opposite gender. When I got to be a Boy Scout, it was all men leaders and that's fine, but I personally think it's great that women run the Dens.
