  • Thank you so much for posting this video! God bless you!

  • Ellen, add my comment to the already long list of thank you's. A great video! I must confess I used the pause button a lot to follow your instructions, but it was WELL WORTH IT. Keep the videos coming! These videos are what it's all about! Thank you again.

  • Thank you so much Ellen! My older calculator without this program meant that my classmates with newer calcs were able to do all this in a quarter the time I took. But no longer! Best-spent 8:44 of my life.

  • thank you Ellen! :)

  • GREAT VIDEO!! YOU ROCK!!

  • I need a sample problem to do my stats homework tonight! :( do you have a video with a sample problem???? PLEASE!

  • @hellokittyalvarez The end of this video has a sample problem. There are also other sample problems in other Chi-Square Goodness (GoF) videos, which you can go to by clicking on the video you want along the left side of the page.

  • I just have to say..you are AWESOME!! I am on my final chapter of an online course (that has pretty much been self-taught because the teacher doesn't really answer questions). I just found your video and wish I would've found you sooner for help on other elementary stats stuff!! You are the teacher I didn't get with my course! Thank you soooo much!!!

  • Hi Ellen - how would I determine the test statistic from the data we see on the calculator. Thanks very much if you can respond soon!

  • @tvu86 The test statistic for this, the Chi-Square Test, is the Chi-Square value. With the example data I used, the test statistic was 27.5, but of course that will vary greatly with what data you have.

  • @EllenSmyth Thank you so much. I'm having a difficult time grasping the subject and your help surely made it easier.

  • THANK YOU!

  • For everyone having problems, you have to have the mean value in L2 right next to every value in L1.

  • This looks to be a great program but every time i try to use it it says Err: Dim mismatch if you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated

  • @koontzrob22 Go to your lists (under STAT > Edit) and make sure that L1 and L2 are the same length (same number of data values) before running the program. Dim mismatch means that the dimensions of your data aren't matching up with what you want to do, and the length of the lists is often the cause. I hope this helps. If not, it could be something wrong off the program itself. Syntax is a fickle beast.

  • when I push enter it pops up syntex error Thanks! I have my Stats final this week and I'm freaking out lol

  • @07Ambre Thanks. I'll look at the pictures when you send them, and I'm hopeful I can find the syntax error.

  • I have programmed this in my ti83 perfectly but the program is still not working what do I do???

  • @07Ambre I can try to take a look, if you like. If you'll take a decent digital picture (like with your phone) of the program in your calculator, I'll see if I can recognize any problems. Also a picture or description of what happens when you use the program would help. Email me at smythe at apsu.edu.

  • Thanks so much.....u are the best!!!!

  • you just SAVED me, thanks a million :)
