  • once you paste, how do i enlarge the pasted picture???

  • Can you adjust the size on the image you copy and paste? Like I wanted to put these two people in one picture... But one person was bigger than the another one... HELP!

  • I agree totally! I couldn't keep up. Very poor! Not good for beginners.

  • how to remove the annoying yellow line when you paste objects into gimp

  • you idiot that was too fast. damned selfish how the hell we'll learn like that?

  • wow. very fast and blurry

  • i was useing the free select tool and the instead of getting a clear background i get a white background with the part the i cut out can u halp me thnks

  • pretty cool, can you make 300 more in 5 minutes

  • Impossible to follow, I'm afraid.

  • Too much hurry, wrong tool to cut edges (why thr f* rubber?).

  • is it true that this is really similar to photoshop?

  • @iHeartCR7 Yes, I have photoshop and still find myself resorting to GIMP. Not saying its better, but definitely great for people not wanting to spend money on PS.

  • You would be much better off using the path's tool, or the magic wand to get a decent cut out

  • A waste of internet band width. No Sound??? And, moving through the steps as if we ourselves where already pros at this. Ha!!!

  • para mi el photoshop es el doble mas facil

  • total waste of your time and ours

  • why didn't he just use the magic wand tool? does it work in this case?

  • what did he use to paint the excess edges out after he pasted it? Someting in Layers but I couldn't see what.

  • @UltMitSinner78 He had the background setup, he pasted the pic of the man on top of the background but on a seperate layer so when he uses eraser it only rubs off whats on that layer and you will be able to see the background behind it.

  • hey guys im completley new to this so dont call me a dumb ass but u know when u go around something using the eclipse tool thingy how do u make it a new layer and change the size because ounce i hav selected around it i dont know what to do from there

  • @FlamingGamer171 You need to already have a new layer established. Once you have selected an area with your elliptical tool, then press CTRL + C then click on the new layer. Then once you have the new layer selected pres CTRL + V to drop the new layer. Once the layer is dropped, go up to select layer, then scale layer. Or you can just click on the scale tool and drag your selection to size.

  • sound??

  • Ok, I'm stupid at this...but what tool did he use there at the end to round out all the edges and kinda smudge things into place? Please answer!

  • lasso

  • Awesome! Are you a GIMP expert?

  • He used the brush. The one that looks kinda like snow. then you can like, make the size bigger or smaller. It depends on what picture u use.

  • I agree some dialogue would have helped and it was pretty fast to follow, okay for those who have a pretty good idea what they are doing, as you obviously have, but not much help to beginners.

  • Good !!

  • LOL, that was even a prime candidate for the magic scissors.

  • It's useful but you should talk us through it.

  • You kinda suck at gimp don't ya...

Instead of going through that trouble with that red layer, you gonna use the rubber?

Or, y'know, you could do it properly with the paths tool.

  • I think he used the red layer to not miss the parts that he wants to erase. I never use the rubber o__o Mainly use the brushes and like, the erase to make pics.

  • um...yeah... or you could do it the right way, and use the paths tool.

  • It's good and useful and thanks for doing it but it would have been better if you had done things slower. I found it hard to follow exactly what you were doing.

  • i cant paste it

  • when ever i cut/copy something out of a picture i edited on gimp and paste it into a blank page and save it, it saves as a xcf. I try to upload it to photobucket and other places and it doesnt allow that file type. any thoughts?

  • When you go to "Save As" you have to pick a file type you will see jpeg somewhere in the middle if you keep scrolling down.

I had the same problem at first, but then i figured it out;)

  • thanks a lot!

  • Keep Up The Good Work!..

  • This does helps me alot!

  • thanks alot!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this, it really helped, 5/5 and added to favorites

  • Thanks. I was gonna use layering, but this is way faster and easier

  • i'm making an animation and i want to use gimp, i know how to use layers, but the picture i'm using has a white background is there a way to get rid of it without useing earaser

  • You could use the magic wand tool and set the threshold accordingly, then once you have selected the background delete it.

  • im glad this vid was made now i know how to make pics transparent :D :D :D :D

  • very usefull, thank you
