"Why the hell are parents unfolding and folding a mechanical product while not ensuring their childs fingers are out the way? back in the good old days every buggy/stroller posed a finger squeeze risk"
This.
I have one of the Graco strollers that have the same problem. I noticed a year ago that this was a potential hazard, and sewed a cover around it similar to the one they're giving out now. Just because we have these conveniences today doesn't mean we get to be unobservant parents!
No one mentioned that these IDIOTS kept folding the strollers WITH their children inside it. That's like slamming the car door while your kid is still getting in.
Should there be a recall? No.
Should the parents be investigated for gross negligence leading to grievous injury? Hell yes! The parents caused the injury, not the stroller!
What the fuck is wrong with people?! Everything has to be moron proofed.
The next time I buy a pack of matches will it say:
Everyday consumers are pathetic. They "assume" blindly, that big names provide what they at least claim they do.
Well guess what, they amputate our babies fingertips EN MASSE...Just the other day a father got shocked when he left his toddler watching Disney channel and a few minutes later the channel was broadcasting porn!
A "repair kit" give them their money back, thos babies got their fingers CHOPPED OFF, and they shut them up, and send out kits? Wow... who's overseeing this? Ridiculous....
idiot. why the hell are parents unfolding and folding a mechanical product while not ensuring their childs fingers are out the way? back in the good old days every buggy/stroller posed a finger squeeze risk, but they weren't lightweight and easy to use like the mclarens.
do you people have any common sense or logic? oh wait, you guys are the ones responsible for the current 'lawsuit' obsession everyone has to fear these days. wake up and smart up
Wow I knew a family who's kid had to have his fingertips amputed because of this. He now is an actor and played a big role in a movie but i can't remember it, it was like inspector jabit or something

Jimmy Dean should really consider making their commercials non-irritable.

A "repair kit" consists of sutures, needles, antiseptic and colorful bandaids

Isn't amputate a surgical term? wouldnt severed, cut off, slice, or anything else be a little less overly dramatic and therefore accurate?

I just laughed at the heading of this story when I looked at my subscriptions.

Hey idiots!
Keep your kids fingers away from the stroller when unfolding it.
Go slam their fingers in a car door and sue the car manufacturer, See how far you get.
And Sara Goldberg, you are too stupid to have kids.
Please don't
