You should try another TBS called Battle for Wesnoth. It's free and great.

Dear GetDaved, I am a subscriber and a fan, but i must tell you that you are not very good at Shogun 2 in battle, for exemple, you should try to use unit to do hammer-and-anvil strike on the back of already enguage enemy units. I'm not trolling, but I find your Shogun 2 let's play painful to watch at some times. If you want further tips just go watch some videos of PrinceofMacedon, that guys is a tactical genius, and I think it could help you be better at Shogun 2.
@DeathmasterSniktch I believe you. but I think you are grossly mistaken on one key thing: It is in no way a goal of mine to get better at Shogun 2. It was a goal of mine to make a Shogun 2 LP and I did that. And now the game and I have parted ways. If it's painful to watch I'm sorry. Your comment doesn't belong on near this video at all, since you are talking about Shogun 2.

It feels weird not watching your videos recently because i'm actively playing SWTOR and wanted to experience it more first hand than third.
That being said for your next few LP's here are my thoughts. EU3 is a good game but I personally find it a slow mover. I don't think it makes good TV. I would love to see you do an XwA LP. It's a brilliant game and not many have LPed it. FF6 would be good too. I'm not a fan of arcade style LPs, so the mario ones I couldn't care less about.
+1 for EU 3 from me given the choices, would also be really awesome if you one day did another MOO2 LP, and maybe even used some of the less popular techs, like missiles instead of beams etc.
Since you mentioned it in the video, I wanted to let you know that your LPs helped me through a rough time recently. I'm really grateful to you for all the content you have shared with us. (I especially appreciate that you have a robust sense of humor that doesn't rely on insults or putting people down; it makes your videos much more enjoyable IMO.)
For your next LP, I'd vote for FF6 or EU. But whatever you're most excited about will probably be the best :P .
I'd love to see FF6 , it's my favorite game in the series. I've never seen a grand strategy lp that I finished, but other folks might like it.
I've always wanted to see you play Jagged Alliance, a genre-defining strategy that I've never seen done well. It's colorful and quirky, and supremely fun! You hire and control a team of mercenaries to take control and develop a tropical island. There is even a fan mod for the equally amazing sequel that offers infinite replayability!
If you can take the punishment, I'd very much like to see you tackle the real Super Mario Bros. 2, the one only released in the US via the Super Mario Allstars cartridge. It's supposed to be quite hard. Apart from that, Old Republic is your only LP that doesn't interest me very much at the moment. Your proposed ideas (Europa, FF VI etc.) all sound great.

X-Wing Alliance would definitely be a great bit of nostalgia for me.
On the sci-fi track, Star Trek games have gotten considerably less love than competitive franchises, even though there are some hidden gems. The Starfleet Command series, for one, but also Klingon Academy, a cinematic yet tactically challenging starship battle simulator. Has some (pretty awful) bugs, but if patched can be a wonderful experience and revelation for some.
After watching, and loving your LP of FF7, I would really enjoy a FF6 LP. Your thoughts on the motivations of the many characters and their reactions to the events of the game would be very enlightening. This is why i love your LPs. They aren't just "This is the game and I'm going to talk about it." They are deep and insightful looks into some grand storytelling. I just finished watching an LP of Freespace 2. Really good flight sim, would you be interested in doing that?

Heya, I recently discovered some of your LPs, and after watching several ended up getting GalCiv 2 and Sins of a Solar Empire both as a direct result. I really enjoy your play style, choice of games and humor.
To toss my vote in: Europa Universalis would be a great next choice. (I've actually have been eyeballing that one myself.)
You might also want to look at Hearts of Iron 2. It's a lot like Europa, in fact they were made by the same company, Only it's a bit more complex and seems to focus a lot more attention on military strategy and less about diplomacy than Europa.
Dude I heard there is a new Shogun 2 expansion pack coming out...like the fall of the samurai or something. When it comes out can you do an LP for that? that would be badass.
Enjoyed Cpt. Nutkicker's adventures through space so much I started my own smuggler. Fun story and fun class. Corso is actually quite useful when you choose scoundrel as specialization cause they are more close range than the gunslinger. Quite fun to smack someone over the head and give them a shotgun blast to the back.
I don't really want to see a 'real' Mario game. A ROMhack (of any of them, really) would be pretty cool, though. Just no overdone Kaizo stuff, please. Zelda isn't something that I think you're a good personality match for. Metroid I could go for, though.
Solo SWTOR should be kept, but only show the cool stuff like the Taris holorecorder story, new companions, etc.
EU3 I'd be really interested in seeing. May I recommend Denmark? I've yet to see a good LP that formed Scandinavia, and Denmark's powerful enough where you won't die horribly at the start, yet it's not going to be cake like a France campaign.
X-Wing alliance I have no interest in, but I'd check it out at least.
FFIV I would love. I want this more than anything.
Not actually played most of those games you listed, so know little about them. But, I think I would like to see either a strategy game, so EU3 in this case, or you dieing a few hundred times, so a Nintendo game.
By the way, ever play the 4X game Deadlock II: Shrine Wars?
I think Final Fantasy 6 would be great LP for you to treat your fans to. Though you did just finish up FF7 before starting TOR, so I have to wonder if it might be too soon? Maybe put in a filler LP of the first Mario game? X-Wing Alliance also looks good. In fact, yeah, the Freespace player in me says X-wing is my top pick. So yeah! Hey Getdaved, found you when I searched for old republic let's plays and through you I started watching Snapwaves let's plays too. Because of this fact I think it would be a shame if you gave up all together on the old republic, however I can understand why you would want to.
I think for your next game you should play X-Wing Alliance and that's because you and Snapwave compare the old republic space missions to it quite alot so it would be nice to see that game in action.
The "grand" in "grand strategy game" isn't there just for show: Europa Universalis is for people who thought that Civ just wasn't quite immersive enough. It has a somewhat steep learning curve, so you should pick a powerful nation such as France as your first try.
I don't normally make requests since I think you should LP the games you want. But since you asked, I would love to see a UFO Afterlight LP. I think there is one on YouTube and I didn't really get into it. I would also like X-Wing Alliance or Final Fantasy VI.
Personally, I am a Final Fantasy fan (all the way up to 9 at least. All after that were just ridiculous). I've never actually played 6 nor have I seen it played and it'd be great to see my favorite RPG LPer play it!
X-Wing Alliance, it's not like that game is well known in the first place. All these kids playing their crappy Rouge Squadron games, screw that noise.
Of the options provided, I'd have to say Final Fantasy 6. It'd be great to have your voice to listen to through it.
As for a write-in, the Super Hostile series of maps in Minecraft are always fun to watch. That would have to be a blind LP though to be properly entertaining, not sure how you feel about that (or how you even feel about Minecraft for that matter).
Your SWtoR LP is not one that I've been following. I just don't like watching such open-ended games and, in case I play it, I don't want any spoilers.
On the subject of Mario: I've greatly enjoyed every platformer LP you've released so far, so I think that's a safe bet where I'm concerned. These help me a lot when I'm not well.
X-Wing wouldn't be a be bad choice either, since I grew up with X-wing vs. TIE Fighter.
I'm very interested in you doing any and all 4Xs. Honestly, any game you've played I've enjoyed except the Old Republic (I avoided watching those videos because I didn't want spoilers, and I generally haven't enjoyed any LPs with more than one person commentating.)
I'd have to choose Europa Universalis simple because it's the one game of those you mentioned that is a 4X and that I haven't either played before or seen played before. Besides that, I'd like to see your take on FF6.
FFVI would be awesome, but I suggest doing a light challenge run. Nothing too hard, maybe a lowish level run. Something to make the game an actual challenge.
EUIII would be interesting if only because I always wondered if you play grand strategy games, and Paradox does seem to have the market cornered. Have you thought about maybe delaying and playing Crusader Kings 2 instead (and doing something else in the meantime)? It should be out in two weeks now, and it does look spiffy. It also looks less evil to me.
Beyond that I vote X-Wing personally. I missed out on all of those games growing up, and I enjoy watching them.
Play whatever you enjoy! Honestly if I do not want to see a product you put out (not into watching mmo's hehe) that's perfectly fine! I will not drop sub or cause drama or do anything outside of picking up on the next LP you do that interests me.
@GetDaved Not that I'm addicted to jrpg's but the two standouts I've seen you produce were FF7 and Secret of Mana (have yet to watch the Chrono Trigger LP). Not so much the genre as much the obvious love you imbued in those LP's. In that regard play something you really love, no matter how (un)popular, from your own words, Homebound!
Perhaps try the 4xish game Distant Worlds. Other random off-the-wall obscurity would be Hinterland and Star Control 2.
First choice is FFVI and my second would be New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I heard you mention during your Super Mario World LP that you enjoyed the game and you love to see you play it.
Gonna miss the videos but i love watching 4x games as they offer the most depth and make for the best LP's for me... subscribed because MOO and just the "style" of commentary you have. Of the options provided, I'd have to say Final Fantasy 6. It'd be great to have your voice to listen to through it.
As for a write-in, the Super Hostile series of maps in Minecraft are always fun to watch. That would have to be a blind LP though to be properly entertaining, not sure how you feel about that (or how you even feel about Minecraft for that matter).

Your SWtoR LP is not one that I've been following. I just don't like watching such open-ended games and, in case I play it, I don't want any spoilers.
On the subject of Mario: I've greatly enjoyed every platformer LP you've released so far, so I think that's a safe bet where I'm concerned. These help me a lot when I'm not well.
X-Wing wouldn't be a be bad choice either, since I grew up with X-wing vs. TIE Fighter.
I'm afraid I must remain neutral on the others.

I'm very interested in you doing any and all 4Xs. Honestly, any game you've played I've enjoyed except the Old Republic (I avoided watching those videos because I didn't want spoilers, and I generally haven't enjoyed any LPs with more than one person commentating.)
I'd have to choose Europa Universalis simple because it's the one game of those you mentioned that is a 4X and that I haven't either played before or seen played before. Besides that, I'd like to see your take on FF6.

EUIII would be interesting if only because I always wondered if you play grand strategy games, and Paradox does seem to have the market cornered. Have you thought about maybe delaying and playing Crusader Kings 2 instead (and doing something else in the meantime)? It should be out in two weeks now, and it does look spiffy. It also looks less evil to me.
Beyond that I vote X-Wing personally. I missed out on all of those games growing up, and I enjoy watching them.

@GetDaved Not that I'm addicted to jrpg's but the two standouts I've seen you produce were FF7 and Secret of Mana (have yet to watch the Chrono Trigger LP). Not so much the genre as much the obvious love you imbued in those LP's. In that regard play something you really love, no matter how (un)popular, from your own words, Homebound!
Perhaps try the 4xish game Distant Worlds. Other random off-the-wall obscurity would be Hinterland and Star Control 2.

I'm most curious to see Europa Universalis III. I like those types of game best for LPs and I'd like to see how you adapt to the game.
X-Wing Alliance is the game on your list I'd most want to play, but I'm not sure if I would get the same enjoyment out an LP. Still worth watching.
I wouldn't watch an LP of FF6. I can never really get into an LP of RPGs.

Gonna miss the videos but i love watching 4x games as they offer the most depth and make for the best LP's for me... subscribed because MOO and just the "style" of commentary you have.
