WHAT A COINCIDENCE? On February 21, 1965 Malcolm X was assassinated. On February 21, 2005, there was an attempted assassination of Mr. Howard Morgan, an eight-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department and a thirteen year career policeman for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He was shot 28 times by Chicago police officers. He was tried and found not guilty of four counts of attempted murder of a police officer on May 12, 2007.

Mr. Morgan was found guilty on all charges. The prosecution not only presented their evidence, but tried to air this man's dirty laundry (or what they thought was dirty laundry) as a motive. Attending 8 days of trial, listening to witnesses, and observing evidence (some which was very inconsistent) leads me to believe the only motive was self defense.
