I always thought this album was way ahead of the curve when it came out, and if you listen to contemporary music now you can hear all the things Pharrell was doing on this album. Every one from Tyler the Creator to Mayer Hawthorne to Snoop Dogg (even the songs he does w/o Pharrell) has followed his lead. Sure, he's popular and super trendy, but PW is a true musician too.
