A superb guitar in the hands of a superb guitarist that Paco de Lucia certainly is + a superb recording and yet...and yet, in my view this video is a flop. Monti's Czardas and the classical/flamenco guitar just don't go together. Also I can't but help feeling that something's amiss here in the fast passages between the phrases. May be Paco de Lucia should stick to flamenco guitar music! But certainly worth listening to if only to satisfy one's curiosity.

You guys have little understanding about the process of learning to play guitar. There is really little doubt this is Paco. It isn't like someone can pick up the guitar and play clean picado's instantly. This takes years. My Czardas de Monti of today is also better then of yesterday. And you should also be able to hear that this is an old recording so presumably he had a very young age. This is Paco.

yes. it is Paco when he was about 6. are you kidding ? the middle ( technical part) is not only slow but also uneven and inaccurate. Paco is virtuoso and plays 64 s no problems. this person can barely play 8th notes. realy has to work harder on the scales.

I've been listening Paco de Lucia for years and the clarity and control of the guitar cannot be compare with this interpretation. I could have enjoy this interpretation if you would have not lied about the performer!
look im not intended to insult u but Im a contrabassist from Hungary and as you can imagine we learn a lot about csardás in conservatory this song was composed by Vittorio Monti who spent 10 years in Hungary studying csárdás style and then he wrote this song monti czardas Paco in this record plays this song in a flamenco style

es increible como se mesclaba los dos estilos tan diferentes en perfecto harmonia. verdad que la technica de tocar es mas como flamenco pero generalmente nadie puede tocar csardas en guitarra.

Para mim, está bom. Não precisa ser mais rapido, porque as notas ficariam "empilhadas" e soariam mal. I´ts a GUITAR, no VIOLIN.
