Police are given one gun they can not choose. In new oyurk they have glock 17s

Glock 17 isn't an option.Senior officers who joined prior to January 1 1994 are still authorized to carry S&W .38 specials.

Bosco carries a Swith & Wesson 9mm. NYPD cops get to carry either a Glock, Sig Sauer or S&W all 9mm 15 round mags. Officers that joined prior to 1993 can still carry a .38 revolver like Candy, Sully, and Jelly carry.

@kyasia33 lol a lot of older officers prefer that gun because they've always used it. Some just prefer it over the glock and other 9mm's

@kyasia33 Yea it is outdated but the thing about revolvers if 1 bullet is a dud it spins right to the next one and that split second while it goes to the next bullet may save your life!! I know that from experience!!

@kirktruck Very true. They have less malfuctions. I used the 9mm and if it isn't cleaned regularly it jams.

oh yea, the new vic has a blue line around the lower bumper and they used an old crown vic in the shooting scene (money saver). very good eye.

Sully uses a revolver which means he has to get rid of the empty cartridges from the weapon before reloading

Yep that is 100% correct. After taking out the old shell casings he used a speed loader to reload his 6 shot .38 revolver.
