  • Fuckin up dimmu, stormblast, godless savage garden.that was pure fucking black metal.whats up with all the gay ass keyboards?and the auto tuned voices.if your gunna do that shit stop acting like a black metal band.

  • I love this guy man. Some people give him shit for having an upside star as a symbol in his band. You know, I used to be scared of that, but recently, after opening my mind quite a bit more, I say that shit doesn't scare no more. I even believe in god, but not religiously. I believe in Him and I shouldn't have to do shit to prove that. It's people putting the R word on him that kill others.

  • dimmu please never break up!!!

  • I like that he is real and doesn't pretend to play black metal

  • @MouthOfTheUnknown :D Same here.

  • In soviet russia the rock , rocks you

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH in soviet russia, shagrath isnt god! :O... oh wait im wrong, he still is!

  • hehe, "sir!" "Hello There!" * Norwegian accent* (btw his accent is AWESOME!)

  • @cejason i agree.

  • yippy ki yo yippy ki yay

  • i'm not afaid ov change, i can just see when change sounds like shit, all the dimmu albums ARE different but abrawhatever is too far away from what drew to dimmu to begin with. and shagrath SHOULD give a shit the majority ov "trolls" are older fans that have a personal relationship with the music. after all he wouldn't be where he's at without us

  • "I don't really care about credits anyways."

    :)

  • It is strange that people had forgotten over the years that vortex and mutis were not with DB in the early days so they can live without them \m/

  • dimmu burger *-*

  • He is so sober. But Gaahl of Gorgoroth takes his preoccupation with Satanism way too seriously. And that guy Necrobutcher of Mayhem is a little bit too weird.

  • These guys are just professional, man. The haters hate these guys for their success. Good on 'em for their success. They take their art seriously. Like he said, black metal to him is Venom, Bathory, Celtic Frost, etc. He's not trying to pigeonhole his band. Love these guys. Great musicianship.

  • i know stian personally:) he's a very shy and modest guy:) i like that guy:)))

  • Unless your like 6 years old. I believe most people have the intelligence to realize what "true" genre something is doesn't matter. Thats like arguing that one of your toys was the true copy, and the rest were made from the mold of that one. Its idiotic, and no one cares. They just enjoy what they have.

  • Deathspell Omega is TRUE black metal!

  • One of the many reasons I love Dimmu Borgir is because every one of their albums is unique. I'll never be able to understand those "fans" that are hellbent on the belief that every album they create for almost two decades should be just like For all tid or Stormblast. How about some respect for their creative abilities? Fact is,they are miles ahead of EDT with Abrahadabra, and in many ways. If you don't like the direction Dimmu has taken, you're listening to the wrong band.

  • I can hear an accent. yum. <3

  • thumbs up for untrue blackmetal

  • @pickupthePWN yes, they are untrue blackmetal. because theyre symphonic black metal. there's a difference. it's like saying that slipknot is untrue blackmetal, it's obvious. but they're still amazing

  • Abrahadabra actually made me into a Dimmu Fan and there are more like me! they win some and they loose some fans....

  • His voice is so quiet when he speaks... I wonder if his loud voice naturally sounds like it does when he sings... Dimmu Borgir is beyond amazing. It's just unbelievable... He just sounds so different when he talks than when he does his stage stuff... It's just mind blowing.

  • I actually enjoy Abrahadabra and Dimmu will always be unique.

  • Shagrath is the true king of symphonic black metal!

  • @PaganWinter666 This is Nesha! I love you!

You are the most amazing musician!

  • @PaganWinter666 OF ALL BLACK METAL

  • I also have to disagree with the interviewer that the fans are just afraid of change. If a fan likes the newer music more than the old or vice versa it's likely because they simply prefer that sound, I know that's the way it is with me.

  • @emperor075 why dont you go suck ihsahn cock?

  • @emperor075 well here is your answer: 7:05 until 7:13 HE DOESN"T CAREEEEEEEE

  • You are not a true Dimmu Borgir fan if you criticize their work. He made a very good point that they wanted to do something different and not do the same type of music they did 18 years ago. I was taken aback by Abrahadabra myself when I first listened to it. It has now grown on me and I can appreciate the difference from their earlier work. They still put on a great show and I will continue to go see them whenever they come to the states.

  • @raychamp I'm not sure what this whole conversation is about. But I completely disagree with you when you say you'e not a true fan if you criticise their work. If you're an actual fan you care about their work and say your opinion whether it's good or bad.

  • @raychamp If you don't criticize work you are not a fan of music. Its about voicing opinion.

  • @drawer1995 Gotta agree with you. I love Dimmu and I loved Abrahadabra but to say that you aren't a true Dimmu fan if you don't criticize? Nahh that means you're not giving the music your full attention and respect, you're just listening to it without thinking about it.

  • @raychamp A true fan questions the bands work, like a true patriot questions their country.

  • You are not a true Dimmu Borgir fan if you criticize their work. He made a very good point that they wanted to do something different and not do the same type of music they did 18 years ago. • @raychamp That's ridiculous. So just because you don't blindly like anything they put out you aren't a fan? All I know is they haven't been a real good band since 1998 or 1999 at least as far as I'm concerned. And really they haven't been great since 1996, and as far as Abrahadabra is concerned it just sounds very rushed to me and mediocre.

  • If CF and Venom you call pure Black Metal you must be a moron.???!!!

Your last album is a failure.

Soon you will begin to play the disco events...

  • There you go, SHAGRATH SAID IT.

I have no other problems with you Dimmu Borgir fans other than you screaming "TROO BLACK METAL HAILS \m/"

  • @macaz1

"The term black metal now has been really 'wahsed out'"

    Direct quote from Shagrath.

  • @macaz1 "We are not Black Metal. Not pure Black Metal"
