  • This song makes me glad I'm clean.

  • STIFF RECORDS!

  • this youtube video is better then any rolling stones video movie etc ever made.

    rweghosts is a genius.

  • This music. this sound, the words, so beautiful, Tasting better evey time after time.

  • I'll take the decade of music from 1965 to 1975 over any ten year span.

  • Keeef's always right, Momma said. :))

  • What great song for Keith to sing , !!!! And he is so right >>>

  • It occurs to me that never before in recent history, has a generation enjoyed music from 50 years before they were born. The flapper generation didn't listen to Chamber music, kids in the fifties didn't like turn of the century Ballads, I doubt whether the next generation will enjoy Beiber, or even Rap. Rock and Roll is truly, forever.

  • @davethefed hanson bros have faded away, gaga is already fading, sadly amy winehouse is also...

  • @GCOUNDOU And your point is? None of the people you mentioned can hold a candle to the Rolling Stones! Heck; all of them put TOGETHER can't touch the Stones!

  • I Luv this album. I was born in 61, so literally grew up with the Stones. I used to sing "Satisfaction" when I was in kindergarten. So by GHS, it was that time where, being the youngest, my siblings had mostly gone away on to college. So it was kind of "MY" Stones album. I had a paper route, and rewarded myself with a brand new LP. The 1st time I ever bought one with my own money. Older Stones fans didn't like it. I felt like this was for my own generation. Thanks guys! Triple platinum! Not bad

  • An awesome and very underrated song and album. From 1968 to 1974 the Stones were on top....a lot of good records in that time frame.

  • C'técoeurant c'te toune là, merci les boy!

  • Bill Wyman is 36-37 years old in this film clip.

  • @TheBluesJammer You are correct. I meant to say "everyone here is in their 60s now".

  • I love it ... Clap Clap Keith and Nicky hopkins or Billy preston for this fantastic part of piano !

  • @fondofrory That is pure Nicky! Billy Preston wasn't Capabale of this kind of Beauty and Sensuality!

  • @swiggy58a Preston is as good as Hopkins .... Anyway beautiful song .

  • "coming down again" is what females who were "with" bill wyman experienced once the thought process of "realization" arrived.

  • @pbrick6301 Might be....but you're obviously speaking from experience, wishing nobody reached the "realisation"stage with you ?

  • On average, everyone in this video is in their high 60s', the ones that are still alive that is. Weird seeing people that seemed so old when I was 13 from a half century old point of view. One of my favorite songs, liking it instantly so long ago.

  • @kolbpilot Exactly, I was 13 in '73....they still all look like older cousins, or the 65 yr old dudes at my local bar!!!

  • great tune and brillient old timey footage. i would love to read a report from whoever filmed this that day

  • People who attach there selfs to other peoples lifes are uneducated jackasses.

Many women have "come on" to me because of my status as night manager at Taco Bell in the town I live in. I tell them all to beat it or to get lost.

  • @pbrick6301 Wow those women are easily impressed. Maybe you can tell them to go away politely.

  • Comment removed

  • I've been dope sick, its the worst. I'm happy to report all that crap is way behind me, Trust me, things are much better sans your chemical demon(s).

  • @HopNPlop good for you dude.

  • @HopNPlop , Hey you can "come down" from other things, besides chemicals. Just sayin.

  • just read keef's book and vaguely remember that this was something about going cold turkey. after hed gone cold turkey numerous times. ie he was high but was coming down again

  • A great song, about Brian, Anita, love & regets. When ever i hear this song it make me think about the past..........

  • @wincanton2

"some people think "Coming Down Again" is about me stealing Anita, but by then that's all water under the fucking bridge" Keith Richards Life page 340-341

  • One of Keef's best from their best album

  • @59zappa Really good album. But not their "best".

Actually; from Beggars Banquet through Goats Head Soup .... is one long, singly Brilliant record of a Time and Era. From 67/'68 stratight through to '73/'74 these guys were just Brilliant! They just had to break it down into different "Albums" to serve the sellers and merchandixers of the Time. It was all one long, unbroken Moment of Brilliance to these guys.

  • LIFE.

  • Anita, heroin, Mick being an ass... yeah Keef got the blues!

  • often makes me wonder what this tune is really about.

  • oh my God Bill was very happy in this days..

  • WOW,Dope sick.

  • im back there down again.....

  • @delmoniaco don't be my freind....all is good:)

  • A LOVELY SONG BYE KEITH , :)) WHERE ARE ALL YOUR FRIENDS ? WHEN YOUR DOWN AND OUT ??

  • Yeah. I love Nicky Hopkins. Don't forget the beautiful sax work by, I assume, Bobby Keys! This was a great album and song!

  • For the wild, raw band they are suppossed to be, there is subtlety to this song, and the sound they they reach in Goats Head Soup. I loved this album that much when I discovered it... 17¡¡¡!!! years back... (and it felt to be as old as it does now).

  • Such a "poignant" tune, wouldn't you agree Elian? ;o)

  • My favorite part may be the Nicky Hopkins piano, especially at the outro.

  • Awesome!!

  • Good job dude, you did your home work!

  • Vid really captures the time of when the song/album was released.Ahh the good ol days!

  • Bet you Mick nailed the clam in the pink mini dress that night

  • keith sings this song??? and...which album???

  • @ILOVERONNIE100 Goats Head Soup

  • @raiderbri goats head soup

  • Comment removed

  • I guess The Dolen should be De Doelen at Rotterdam.

  • god it feels allright....

  • check is in the mail

  • A love song from Keef to his penis: ....."comin down , on the ground again".......you do enuff of that berber Heroin and your winkie is on the ground!! trust me.

  • Op 2:10 a Kreidler motorcycle.

  • We moved in a old industrial place south of the city but close from downton on the main street in a 180 years old house appt. the whole 3rd floor little antic stores all around and a smell of old spice sticking in the wind....all the time... I stoped work, my ex's a little weird but managable...we go walk to canal water front at night and do nothing the rest of the time...

  • Comment removed

  • please, the Man is what he is.

  • classic footage--- see how close u could get to them at the time I rode an elevator with keef and bobby keys in NYC in 72 try that now....

  • I was pretty much on coke and everything else when I first heard it on the album goats head soup that I bought at the time I was resting at home after my motorcycle accident peeing in my bed at night because I coouldnt stand up my leg was hurting too much...my boss was calling and crying on the answering machine, I was'nt answering.... I was pissed off of this sucker...it was 2002 I was 32. Now I'm clean and I'm moving to my ex-wife place I just quit again the same boss....for good

  • It's amazing how I know all the lyrics to this song after 37years!

  • @mark1952able it's because there is not a lot of lyrics to remember,

  • THEE bestest ever "" Goats Head Soup " Hellz to the Yeah...;-)

  • Bonne nuit les petits.............

  • Being hungry ain't no crime. Especially when the pie you're sticking your tongue into is Anita Pallenberg's. Whoa, sweeet cherry wine (Tommy James).

  • @arhatyellow yeah, yeah allright dear good what would I have done if I wrote songs instead of checks.

  • The "Love Revolution" was certainly sidetracked by drug use but we have recovered and are stronger for it,thanks for the song guys (big fan forever) Leland Luster

  • uan de mis canciones Favoritas!!

  • Always a top class song, Goats Head is a MUST OWN LP

  • special people them stones

  • wasnt keith at this time getting high with the pretty people

  • what kind of girl would "approach" bill wyman?

well...just like kenny rogers said...there is someone for everyone.

  • caca

  • I was there every day, for two whole weeks; i still got the photos, original authographs (all of them!) en tapes, recorded at the mobile studio in front of the Doelen. Now i've got this tape, of witch i did not know the existence.

It showes the authographs are authentic.

Greatings to all people I recognized; Gerrie, Adri, the girls in blue and pink, the boy in white. (I 've forgotten there names, sorry)

  • 'being hungry, it ain't no crime" I was impressed with this song the moment I heard it but I remember it was a song rarely played, or appreciated during the the era of Goats Head Soup or quite a while afterwards. But it is a classic that is finally getting its due.

  • keef in a hurry to get to his room.

  • The thing about addiction is that it gets old after awhile. The "high" only stays "fresh" for a certain amount of time and then you're "chasing it." This is true whether you're Keith Richard, Eric Clapton or John Doe. Hell. If I'd gotten that nice, fresh, clean buzz like I did at the beginning forever, I would have kept on doing it...........regardless. But you don't and then it becomes kind of hard work at some point and you spend alot of time "Comin' Down Again" and then it is a bitch to stop.

  • @kentucy9999 The music Sucking in the 70s, this is NOT that, it is hard to believe EVEN the Eagles were blown out druggies during the decade

  • The song that places the Stones among Beethoven's circle.

  • Such a fitting video that slides into this song, and the other way around. Well done!

  • "Recorded in November & December of 1972. Released on Goats Head Soup in August of 1973. Written by Keith Richards, about him taking Anita Pallenberg away from Brian Jones."

    Keno's ROLLING STONES Web Site

  • All my life I laughed at Bill Wyman. I laugh no more. Those women he is seen with in this video are tremendous.

  • @pbrick6301

Bill was the one who counted how many times each stones got laid, He was in top of the list....ask keef bout it and he says: Who the hell counts that kind of things...oh yeah Bill :-)))

  • The best song ever!!! Keith is a GOD. I remember coming down again too. ; (

  • Just one of the most Beautifully Blue songs to be written...............So Clear....Richard's razor sharp Clarity, every-time....God Bless Keith and all the Stones....God Bless Rock & Roll....

  • i LOVE YOU KEEF,,,,,,,, Oh,... and who the fuck 'IS' Mick Jagger anyway? Please, No stupid bastard comments, unless you got one of the 'above' T-Shirts you would like to part with,... for a price, of course... XXXXX

  • @stellalush1 Ebay, 6 quid.

  • At 3.55 starts the most beautiful trupmet-sax part of all times underlined by organ in the background. Keith is the strongest when he is the weakest! Love from Serbia to Stones.

  • @PhKost It's not an organ. It's guitar played through a Leslie. A Leslie is a rotating speaker system that gives organs their distinctive sound. Also, there is no trumpet, just Bobby Keys doing his cool sax work!

  • Ultimate chill song!

  • De Doelen, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Great concerts in Ahoy.

  • Boy do i remember coming down again .Still love the Stones .

  • @Mrveendam Yeah. I hated that part.

  • What a great song, how heartfelt Keith sounds. Right on Keith and long live the Stones!!

  • According to Nick Kent, "Angie" was written by Keith about Anita Pallenberg and means ' ANITA-I-NEED-YOU'

  • "stuck my tongue in someone elses pipe"...christ Keith, can you be more obvious?

    lol...coke or smack?

    or lets speedball the fucker...

  • @SandozSaxonWilliams: "slipped my tongue in someone else's pie"

  • @appmanga

so that's the line...still, it's seems pretty obvious what "Coming Down Again" is all about...though I would'nt have known when I first heard it at a much more innocent time in my life...

  • @SandozSaxonWilliams You dip-shit. It's "pie". Not "pipe". Guess we know where YOUR head's at. (Up your arse!)

  • @swiggy58a

    well you're a nasty bastard....

    so corrective

  • Nice innit.

Goats Head Soup is a great album, I never understood why some people slagged it off. There are at least 5 great Stones tracks on that album, this one is not in the top 5 even though it's really good and laid back.

  • Great the way this video was put together and it fits beutiful with the song

  • Mick Taylor on bass and some background harmonies.. But the star of the song is Keith's chording on the guitar. This is one of The Stones most beautiful songs. It has an incredible groove and a funk all its own. I love The Stones.

  • what the f**K have they done to the comments ? fools can't even get it right.

  • What the hell is wrong with the comments??? I HATE this redesign!!!

  • my comments don;'t come out or dissapear ..... bad idea.....

  • @limeginger Me too!! This assohle redesign is to make it confusing and ilogical on purpose, so that we users write less comments. Each comment costs money to youtube, that´s why they fucked up the comments

  • @Semente200 You're correct. I know who some of the designers are---they love this redesign because it's filled with cool features for their porfolios. Their argument is "VIDEO is king---not comments!" Youtube is short-sighted. The users are king---their conversations and connections with each other are "king," not videos existing abstractly. Videos are great. But its also a social platform for people to learn from, have fun with, and enjoy each other! I visit youtube less since this redesign.

  • Shove your commands to see or read anything more, you megalomaniacal fuckfroth. Don't bother me until you have the cojones to reciprocate by considering my source. Evidently you fear having your convictions challenged, so trashing the writer ("killing the messenger") is the panacea for your dilemma. That tells me that you are the one to be pitied. You, the pansophist, have nothing left to learn! Of course you revere nobody-- you're the guy from the cross and resurrection caper, right? :P

  • @ kentucy9999: I read Tony's book of sensationalism. I also read "Faithfull" by Marianne Faithfull. Am I to believe-- the amoreuse or the disgruntled flunkie? =) As for Anita's peccadilloes: she was giving Mandrax mickeys, a.k.a. "randy mandies"-- so-called because they also boosted the libido. She did stick with Keith, though she had other options. I believe she schnockered him so as to put notches on her own bedpost, right beneath Keith's monogram. (Oh, and the word is "minutiae"! )

  • Go to youtube and punch in "Cocksucker Blues." There are 4 or 5 excerpts from the film available {or there were.} You can see "randy" Keith in a couple of them. Observe. You're a groupie. I have no hero's. I haven't since I grew out of adolescents. Don't idolize anyone.

  • I'd believe Tony. Sure there was some sensationalism but that book captured the "feel" of the whole scene better than anything I've ever read. I certainly wouldn't give alot of credence to what Marianne says. Poor Marianne.

  • Alot of you people don't seem to know shit about the Rolling Stones. Read these two books for starters:

Up and Down with the Rolling Stones by Tony Sanchez

The True Adventures of the Rolling Stones by Stanley Booth.

It would be worth it for you to watch the movie "Gimme Shelter" about the Altamont fiasco.

A few facts: Keith never got his "blood changed" in Switzerland. Never happened.

    Jagger overall was the most important member. {Don't forget Keith was a junkie for 10 yrs.}

  • By the way limeginger. You don't know what you're talking about. Angie was written by Mick Jagger after an affair with Angela Bowie wife of David Bowie. Get your Stones "minutae" straight will you?

  • @kentucy999

you don't know who you're talking to. Mick has said a trillion times Angie was not written about Angela Bowie. It was Keith's song. Keith started it, Mick finished it. Keith's response to questions about who Angie is range all over the map. Sometimes he says it was his daughter Angela, sometimes says no one in particular, sometimes says it is a song written about an ending relationship.Next time bark in someone else's direction. I know what I'm talking about.

  • someone looks like steve mariott in the beginning of vid!

  • @skicat62 Steve did audition to take Mick Taylor's place in the band, but it's been said that Jagger felt Marriott showed him up at audition. Of course, I'm just a Soupie Groupie, so we'll probably need some MAN to intervene and set the record straight. If I had a thought that big, why, my li'l old brain would just bust!

  • hey witchman ur a fuckin cocksucker!u piece of shit

  • @PatsyVag Yes that maybe true and my wife is named Bill, seems you got some good head last night. So you wanna Kiss and tounge each others ass now that your gay? Kiss kiss you turd burgler brother.

  • @PatsyVag Gimmie that little pecker you call a cock

  • A rolling stone gathers no moss, only pussy.

  • Comment removed

  • Great song and the footage goes with it. Stones at the begining of a peak to become rock n roll royalty God bless em

  • @PatsyVag And your mother sucks cock in hell?

  • ur wife sucked my cock last nite u scumbag

  • Look at those Dutch women swarm the Stones. No wonder the Germans...uh never mind.

  • Excellant video! Thank you SOOOOOOOOoooooo much for this post!

  • great album while drinking coca cola

  • I love the MB /8 in the first 10 seconds also. The car itself stands for the timeless quality of the Stones!

  • Joe Mama.

  • thankfully, someone..just as you had the time to watch.

  • swacbro - your mother does after she coughs up all the syphilitic spooge from a hard night's works

  • Sweet innocent momento.

Must've been unforgettable fun, for that group, to meet up The Stones that close.

Obviously you've had the time to watch.

Uploading doesn't take that much time though.

  • Maybe the line in this song "being hungry aint no crime" is in response to Lord Denning's 1971 High Court finding on homelessness and hunger/poverty in Great Britain. Around that time Richards seemed quite forward in illuminating his displeasure at the English judiciary .

  • my mom's dead

  • hang in there bro....know how you feel

  • @Jeddystardog um...I think you're joking but if not he's talking about lusting after Anita Pallenberg while she was still with Brian Jones, and eventually not being able to stand how Brian treated Anita and stealing her away from Brian.

  • The best Keith song ever! It sums up the entire Stones existence at that time! Wow what a tune! "She was dying to survive" i agree the best lyric ever. If I write any more this will be 8 pages long!

  • WOW..just fantastic.

  • another good line.. .."the sunshine bores the daylights out of me"..that conjures up junkie stuff ..it from Exile album

  • "she was dying to survive" is one of the best lines in the history of songwriting. maybe its the delivery, but i really like it

  • @ifeelallright For me, this one really hits home. Thank God, I made it out of the twilight zone. I love this song.

  • @ifeelallright i agree, similar to killing yourself to live by ozzy/sabbath. right on the button, knows what he's talking about cause he's done it. also the lyric "where are all my friends", as they all disapear when your on your arse.

  • coming down again where are all my friends? they O'D'ed Keith and died..man this is a sad song...and sadness doesn't feature usually in the Stones canon.

  • @Jeddystardog interesting observation....come to think of it....sadness and resignation is what Angie is about too (also written by Keith)

  • @Jeddystardog sorry if this posts twice I just wrote this and it disappeared so trying again. That's an interesting observation about sadness. Come to think of it, sadness (and resignation) are what Angie is about as well (also written by Keith)

  • Forgot about this song, it's a good one

  • Bill Wyman getting it for free.

  • Notice the 'Kreidler' at 2:09.

  • Keith Richards for Surgeon General..!!

  • Yeah they suck. Great comment. Take your own advice moron and give the world more room!

  • Goddess, I wish he'd stick his tongue in MY pie!!!

(Sorry Mrs. Richards...a girl can;t help but fantasize!)

    Keith is a bona-fide god!

  • God, I always thought Mick Taylor was a sweet looking Bit O' Honey!

  • According to Marianne Faithfull's bio, Keith was the most "talented" of the lot-- the night she spent with Keef was the best EVER.

  • Yeah, I seen that. Keith's reply to that in an interview was "see I been telling you guys for years I'm a lover not a fighter."

  • I believe it. He's the one with SOUL! I read an interview in which he talked about Bill's supposedly sleeping with a thousand women "I have seen women leave his room after ten minutes. That's sleeping with a woman? I have slept with some of the most beautiful women in the world. I don't know how to say good-bye. I only say hello". Sigh. Why is there only ONE Keith? We each need one for our very own!

  • @redwoodrebelgirl

Trouble is, I have always been partial to Mick Taylor. What a damned dish he was!

  • @tinglywoowoo and @redwoodrebelgirl if you check out photos of Keith in the tight pants era it's pretty clear what part of his magic was :) (there's a quote somewhere of someone saying "Keith is hung like an oxen")

  • Yeah. If you read "Up and Down with the Rolling Stones" {by Tony Sanchez} or any other decent "stuff" on the Rolling Stones you'll also know that because of his ten year heroin addiction Keith was pretty ambivalent about sex. Anita used to "spike" his nightime drink with sleeping pills so she could spend time with whomever. I've probably read every word ever written about the Rolling Stones and I never heard of Keith's sexual prowess. News to me. Jagger. "Mick the stick."

  • @kentucy9999

Keith's sexual prowess is legendary. Marianne Faithfull still claims the night she spent with Keith was the best night of her life. He is a real lover of women, having been raised by his mother and her sisters. He just didn't have all the groupies Mick did, he kept a few of the same groupies for years and was, for the most part, pretty faithful to Anita. He is also the more well-endowed of the two, as Mick has large testicles and an above average-size penis.

  • @berberwhore I don't know who it is legendary with. I followed and have read virtually everything on the Rolling Stones for 40 yrs and I never heard of it. He was a junkie for ten years. Ever done heroin berber? Has a pretty dramatic effect on your sexual "prowess." Beyond that I have no interest in talking about the size or shape of someone's testicles. However Keith Richard may be remembered I assure you his sexual prowess will not be the headline.

  • @kentucy9999 "Beyond that I have no interest in talking about the size or shape of someone's testicles" Ahh I'm28 and still find lines like this amusing

  • GREAT!

  • good answer !!!

  • I Love it when Keith sings !

  • Bill Wyman with those girls? That is more shocking then when Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson.

  • Must have been a great life. Everynight of your life surrounded by as many girls as you can handle. You'd have to carry penicilin with you, but other than that wow!

  • Geez here i was thinkin, all the time keef was on about kicking, an now all these politesizin basterds got inna way of the music, know wot i mean
