They're more straightforward, but they're still very clever, with a lot of "punchlines", and he just had a really good flow and he wrote lyrics about the gangsta life because that's what he lived. Listen to "Everyday Struggle", "Kick In The Door", "What's Beef" and "Pepsi Freestyle", you'll realize how incredibly dope Biggie was and is.
