If i did inspire you that would make me very happy. My neighbors have never said anything, the room I record in is at the far corner of the house, and I always aim my trumpet toward the inside of the house, and there are 4 more bedrooms on that side of the hallway before you reach another outside wall, so I don't know if they hear me.

Just because your voice is deep doesn't mean you can't play trumpet. I think your director used that as an excuse because he was probably low on trombones. Louis armstrong had a very deep voice and he was one of the best. Just practice, you can do it.
