My sister in law was a sunday school gospel teacher and her and my brother introduced me to this and a host of others such as "THE STAPLE SINGERS" of which came out Gladys Night and on and on ,all the BLUE NOTE artists and HAMMOND jazz organists and it was definitely a strong foundation for understanding of the neo-christian soul music phenomina that showed superior musicianship and a goal to attain.I was about 12 at the time.
