The people saying the 4.3-V6 is better if it is so much better than the 4.0HO than tell my why is the 4.0HO faster than your 4.3-V6 you have a bigger engine but you still can't keep up and you say the 4.3 is better ha ha yea right just. Waite for Chrysler's new 3.6-V6 The Phoenix co-developed with Mercedes DOHC Dual variable vale timing coil over initiation and more it is going to to be a new competitor for Gm's Direct-inject V6.

the phoenix now called the pentastar is not mercedes co-developed its all mopar engineered and is a moster without DI is 280hp and 260trq and 50lbs less then chevys 3.6 they are planning a 420hp twin turbo version of the pentastar

The Cherokee is a lot lighter than the S10. early- Mid 90's Cherokee was the fastest of them all. They will beat any 4.3 S10 stock to stock, every time, guaranteed.

i got a 94 s10 blazer 4.3 vortech and ive raced a wrangler 4.0 HO 5-speed and two different cherokees both 4.0 HOs one five speed one automatic and none of them could beat me rolling or from a dig

I've had something with both motors (2001 blazer with the 4.3, upgraded to a 1997 cherokee with 5 speed) I know the 5 speed chops off like 2 seconds in the cherokee's 0-60, but I've driven an auto cherokee too and even those just destroy the blazer in acceleration. It doesn't help that the blazer is body on frame, making it heavier than the unibody cherokee. I clocked the blazer at around 10.5-11 seconds 0-60. I clocked my jeep at 8 seconds.

I've had both, 4.3 is faster provided it runs ok. Ran my buddies 99 Cherokee 4.0/AW4 and beat him no problems with my 92 S15 Jimmy running like shit. Newer 4.3s are shit besides the heads.

I just had my Cherokee at the race track, I entered the backwards race with it. I beat a Chevy Colorado and a Dodge Neon with it - IN REVERSE! I went 47MPH! The chevy went 27, the neon went 37. I still had plenty of petal to go.

You want a throaty growl.... take the time to straight pipe a cat then throw on a 16" Cherry bomb Glass pack and rev that bad boy up... I did that on my old 92 Cherokee... there wasn't much that could touch it.

There was no nitrous used. That's how they sound, I've had 4 of them and they ALL sound like that. BTW, I will eat your 4.3L. I've already killed a 4.3L blazer no problem.

4.0 high out put does not need saltpeter for it but possibly to have bijuas of platinum of 4 tops and cables of high flow or anything this way

Uhh, sorry you could hear the nitrous being used. 4.0s do not rev up that quickly stock. Plus I would like to see him run against my '97 4.3 S10. Won't have a chance. ;)
