  • Where did you apply at?

  • how old are u?

  • How much do u get paid?

  • Hey can you please tell me how you applied for this job or where did u went to sign up???

  • @OvBexster

In order to test for the company you want to work for, you NEED to live in or around the area where the studio is. You also need to network with staffing agencies who deal with the company you want to work for. A couple of big video-game staffing agencies are Nelson Staffing and Wired Talent, both based in California. If you want more details, PM me. I used to work for some companies in the San Diego area, and I still know my way around.

  • do u have 2 be realy good at multyplayer games 2 be a tester because im not great at shooting games

  • @ltdrouingaming how do you become a tester? How do you apply and what should I put on my resume?

  • Congrats dude! I'm actually going into the video game designing business after at the end of the year. Gotta graduate first. Lol. Class of 2012! If u could give me some tips about getting into the business I would really appreciate it. Thanks

  • What schooling did you have to take? if any, to become a game tester?

  • @ChrizzzpyHD Absolutely nothing.

  • @LtDrouinGaming alright sounds good to me.oh and one more thing, how old do you have to be to become a tester?

  • @ChrizzzpyHD Idk. Maybe 16?

  • Do yu know a good place where i can sign up for video game beta testing?

  • @SpyroTheDragon1267 Beta testing is most of the time strictly in the QA centers.

  • @LtDrouinGaming Can you give me links where companys are looking for video game testing?

  • @SpyroTheDragon1267 You have to check with local video game companies.

  • First I want to say thanks a ton for the video and the info in it! It`s very helpful..

I was wondering how rare is it to find QA jobs that allow you to work at home? I'm asking because I want to go to college for game programming and design, and I would love to get a fun job in a related feild to help pay for it. The thing is, I have very limited transportation and there's not a lot close to where I live.. I'm looking for QA jobs for computer games so that I can work at home.

  • @DaFleegsta No its not possible to work for a QA outside of their buildings. Leaks would happen too easily.

  • @LtDrouinGaming I figured >.<.. Thanks for the quick reply. :)

I also have another question if you don't mind.. What kind of stuff did you put on your resume? So far I have years of programming and designing my own games, indie QA reports, samples of games i've made, and that I'm constantly reading books, watching lectures, reading online articles, and eventually going to college for game programming and design. Would you say that's a resume worthy of submitting? Do you have any suggestions?

  • @DaFleegsta Oh and of course that I have my high school diploma, and that I've never had a problem with communication, grammar, or punctuation before.

  • ya we know your amazed

  • If you're testing MW3 I'm going to cum.

  • @spikie92 lol have a nerdgasm XD

  • @xSNAGGLEx602x Thanks :)

  • @xSNAGGLEx602x Thanks Nick! :)

  • Drouin question: Was it more, less or the same as you expected it to be?

  • @cyb3rtiger More or same of what? I don't understand your question

  • Btw they don't own Blizzard. They just merged.

  • @AcesGamer Ya the top of the administration is together, not the bottom.

  • its like a spy agency

  • well its not going to be mw3 that suck u could of really had fun don u thin Lt

  • does that mean you get to meet the designers and say/sugest ideas maybe not to fix , but to make better ? just wondering , AWSOME BTW :P

  • @sc0ped0ut I will do further commentaries on how it works basically because I am allowed of saying that. We have a project lead that makes sure to transmit all our information to the developers of the game. They then decide what to keep and add to the game. We can't say our opinion I believe

  • @LtDrouinGaming just so you know its tim za chick3n :)

  • @sc0ped0ut Oh ok cool :)

  • @LtDrouinGaming hey man, im happy u like ur new job. I was just wondereing did u change ur gt from mount real to something??

  • Congradulations Drouin! We are all proud of you! Keep dreaming :)

  • @xGamerPwn Thanks!

  • o and i was watching the heat game during this game :p

  • #dirtymonkeyzisyourmom ROFL

  • how do you become a video game tester*?

  • @xSmileyB I applied for a contest in the newspapers. I got chosen and then they interviewed me and got chosen again.

  • @LtDrouinGaming aha awesome

  • U know if MW3 fails its ur fault, nah just kidding LT nice to see that ur having fun :) GOOD LUCK! :)

  • Good job LT !

  • @ShowMEOseriouS Thanks!

  • Man, you're so lucky im bearly 15 and i wish i could have that kinda job. Be very proud and work hard man i gotta a feeling about this channel its gonna grow.

  • So working for Activision is pretty badass. Seriously awesome man. haha. Congrats.

Do a commentary about when/if you are or have told your co workers or boss etc etc about your YT. That should be interesting :D

  • @Twitification Thanks. To be honest, I'm a really shy person so I don't plan on talking to a lot of people at the beginning. Maybe one day I will but I will for sure take my partnership and YT channel as an advantage when I try convincing my boss to go on a certain project (Game to test).

  • Do you think your youtube channel helped you out in getting picked for the job?

  • @xadfx Euhm... hard question. I think yes but I mostly believe that if they saw that you had a strong interest in video games, they took you. The guy who interviewed me was for sure surprised when I said I was getting paid by Machinima. Maybe yeah. :)

  • @LtDrouinGaming so where would you have to first look to apply for video game tester ?

  • @LtDrouinGaming Ive been playing games since i was 3, I am in college, but to me playing games is a adrenalin rush, I cant take my eyes off the games I play, so I might be thinking about a different career path.

if you can give me any information on how to get started; to apply I would be grateful.

  • Jealous is what i am right now :D

  • @NinjaFluffynut @SirBrammy Haha you legends. There are testing centers in UK... :) I know a guy who does what I do and he tester Medal of Honor (One of the games tested)

  • @LtDrouinGaming Are there? I did not know that man.

  • @LtDrouinGaming how exactly do we apply for a job like this

  • man not going lie, I'm pretty jealous right now ;P but yea congratz

  • Are you gonna test MW3

  • gratz

  • I hope your job goes very very well for you.
