There is a distinction that isn't made very often, but I think when people claim a racial identity, what they almost always really mean is that they identify with a culture or a sub-culture. There is a distinction that isn't made very often, but I think when people claim a racial identity, what they almost always really mean is that they identify with a culture or a sub-culture. It's easy to confuse that with physical characteristics, even tho it isn't physical at all. These days misuses of the word "arab" are probably the most glaring example, when people really mean "muslim"

Sir, theres a distinction that you arent getting. I for one, have never advocated ignorance of history, nor heritage. I recommend everyone do their own personal research into that.
But WHAT you THEN do with that information is the stickler. I SAY we take it and keep it in perspective. No matter whats in your heritage(from the past wreckage of civilizations history) youre still 1st and foremost YOU, an individual, at unity w/ the human race.
