mate truthfully to say thats 5 weeks into flower its growing slowly. i use cfl light for vege only. im on week 3 of flower and the buds are at least double the size. looking nice though mate. i will upload a vid of them.

@SuperLemonFuck um no 4 / 45 watt cfl uses same power but puts out many more usable lumens while hps has better leaf penatration cfls can be adjusted therefore can be used to increase bud production on lower branches as well as upper :)

@fatboypgh I know everyone has their preference but right now there are induction grow lights that run @ 1/2 the watts of the HID lights I was using but the other thing you need is deep penetration for the lower leaves. Never did get the results on the LEDs so I went back to HID. But I've been on induction now for going on six weeks and I have some very healthy babies. theres a video - indagro- & their website has pics worth checking out if you hadn't heard of these types of lights grow big

@fatboypgh in order to acquire maximum or near maximum productivity from 1 plant, you should really be bathing it in no less than 10,000 lumens, so i'd probably get 2 more if ya can. also, does the light emit raise from the red or blue spectrum, as you after red (2700k for CFL). make sure the lights are close too (2-3") as light intensity dissipates the longer it has to travel. hope this helps ^^

@bobwalter22 dont get me wrong cfls do grow decent. but when it comes to flowering this is a perfect example of why i dont use clf but hps in flowering. cfl just doesnt give the right spectrum needed for flowering. it gives a cool blue when i needs an orange/red for best flowering potential. also cfls dont penetrate like the mh/hps does. pros: LOW electrict, cheap, not much heat is given off. good decent grow though. i would rather use a T5,T8, or T12 from lowes or homedepot

CFLs are fucking awesome low heat = no search warrant, no fires, low electric bill = the point of growing, it's not supposed to be expensive.
All I'm saying is you can run a 100w CFL bulb for 18 hours and it'll be cool to the touch...they make growing soo much easier for eveyday ppl who don't want a super expensive, dangerous, flashy cop magnet grow room.
@pimpDADD1 I disagree and agree. CFL'S are great if your grow is limited to space, ventlation, heat signiture and electricity consumpsion. You just need understanding of light spectrum 2700k-6400k for growth and flower cycles. also to CFL growers ten 13w cfl lamps are not the same as one 125w cfl. You will need almost as mush wattage as a HID but you wont have the heat output or ventaltion need with cfl's. In conclusion pimpDADD1 has a point.....You cant beat HID'S for fat dank nuggz!.....:)

sativas are always stretchy like this when flowering, i suggest trying a hybrid strain that is 70% sativa & 30% indica for higher yeilds and quicker finishing time!!!
See man that's what my ladies have looked like and I am tired of all the side shoots producing such small yields. My next go around I am going to trim about a third of the side shoots up from the bottom. Hope to get better yields on the main fatties, and maybe reduce the area that each one takes up.
It aint about how many you have. You want to avg 3000 lumens per sq ft. The sun gives out an avg. of 10,000 per sq ft. If you give your plants at least 3,000 you'll have top quality veggies and fruits ;0).

yeah most people use CFLs so that they dont get caught.. they dont put off nearly the amount of heat or eat as much electricity, which are two of the big ways the cops find growers.

just talked to a homie on here and he got over 4 ozs almost 5 with nothing but cfls you just gotta know what your doing and i guarantee he didnt use near as much electricity as a 300 watt hps bulb would have.
How would u figure? 1cfl 26w=100w? u can place 12 cfl light bulbs all around ur plant with different spectrums.. to equal one 300w HPS bulb. that is sure to get only 2700 to 2200 spectrum..and suck up more energy as the bulb die...u do the math..CFL and LED the new generation.. upgrade pimp
i will debate CFL's vs HID's with you but when you bring LED's into it im gonna have to dismiss it as a joke man.If you use 12 cfl's your going to use just as much energy as 1 400w HPS with half the end product you do know they make digital ballasts now right im not knocking cfl's im stuck using them right now myself but they cant touch HID's
@liamsdad33 I agree, HIDs aren't comparable to CFL.. Don't get me wrong, I love CFLs for side lighting or fresh clones, but for the end product, gotta love HID.
As for LED, I can't speak from personal experience, however from what I've read and seen on grow forums, is that for the same wattage, you seem to be getting much more weight, getting almost always 1g per watt..

sure but if he had used HID he would have more effeiciently used that electricity and would have had more weed in the end. Its about making sure the watts you use are the BEST QUALITY and then you will get the best results.
What a stupid thing to say. Your argument is that growing involves risk. CFL's greatly lower the risk of being caught because they can be put into tiny boxes and still wont get hot. There are even CFL's that remove odor so essentially the only risk there is to growing w/ CFL's is telling other people you're growing. not to mention when you buy HPS lights online THEY TRACK YOU!!!!!!!!!
CFL can work great, but you need reflectors on each bulb and go with atleast 42watts which put out 2600+ lumens HPS is good and all but its not possible in every situation CFL is a great substitute for HPS with a little effort and good reflective material all over you can get what you need year round. On the cheap whoever tells you otherwise does not know what he is saying.
@Bigbangproductions4u its true you can but this is NOT how you wanna go about it unless you want a half once yeild... the plant needs CFL exposure within 6 inches of everywhere on the plant ... this means run cfls on the sides and ALOT more then this ... Its true you only get as many as watts as your highest light so even if you using 200 30 w lights your really still only gunna get 30 w of light out of it .. so make sure there enough CFL's... There all i use so i agree you can use them..

@coryfont actually T 5's are high output and you would need many many of them to compare. But the plant looks decent anyway a bit stringy but looks healthy otherwise.
I think hes ctaully around 4 weeks dont forget you dont know when your plant actually reset itself for flowering process. Its known that the first approx 5 days usually have some veg growth. Unless there were special techniques taking into account to help along the process anything but can hold it back. Good growing. Peace and Wellness,
People say that you can't yeild from CFL well they'er wrong. All last year I grew with them until I upgrading to 600 HPS system.However my change you guys are growing great. I still use CFL for Viggie. Peace
you dont want to bring them outside, you get bugs and diseases wich can lead to an indoor infestation. If you do have a sky-light or a large window that gets alot of direct sunlight, then you can do that. Better off growing one way or another, less stress on plant and less chance of accidents (they do happen,trust).

@bobwalter22 dont get me wrong cfls do grow decent. but when it comes to flowering this is a perfect example of why i dont use clf but hps in flowering. cfl just doesnt give the right spectrum needed for flowering. it gives a cool blue when i needs an orange/red for best flowering potential. also cfls dont penetrate like the mh/hps does. pros: LOW electrict, cheap, not much heat is given off. good decent grow though. i would rather use a T5,T8, or T12 from lowes or homedepot

CFLs are fucking awesome low heat = no search warrant, no fires, low electric bill = the point of growing, it's not supposed to be expensive.
All I'm saying is you can run a 100w CFL bulb for 18 hours and it'll be cool to the touch...they make growing soo much easier for eveyday ppl who don't want a super expensive, dangerous, flashy cop magnet grow room.

@pimpDADD1 I disagree and agree. CFL'S are great if your grow is limited to space, ventlation, heat signiture and electricity consumpsion. You just need understanding of light spectrum 2700k-6400k for growth and flower cycles. also to CFL growers ten 13w cfl lamps are not the same as one 125w cfl. You will need almost as mush wattage as a HID but you wont have the heat output or ventaltion need with cfl's. In conclusion pimpDADD1 has a point.....You cant beat HID'S for fat dank nuggz!.....:)

See man that's what my ladies have looked like and I am tired of all the side shoots producing such small yields. My next go around I am going to trim about a third of the side shoots up from the bottom. Hope to get better yields on the main fatties, and maybe reduce the area that each one takes up.

It aint about how many you have. You want to avg 3000 lumens per sq ft. The sun gives out an avg. of 10,000 per sq ft. If you give your plants at least 3,000 you'll have top quality veggies and fruits ;0).

yeah most people use CFLs so that they dont get caught.. they dont put off nearly the amount of heat or eat as much electricity, which are two of the big ways the cops find growers.

How would u figure? 1cfl 26w=100w? u can place 12 cfl light bulbs all around ur plant with different spectrums.. to equal one 300w HPS bulb. that is sure to get only 2700 to 2200 spectrum..and suck up more energy as the bulb die...u do the math..CFL and LED the new generation.. upgrade pimp

i will debate CFL's vs HID's with you but when you bring LED's into it im gonna have to dismiss it as a joke man.If you use 12 cfl's your going to use just as much energy as 1 400w HPS with half the end product you do know they make digital ballasts now right im not knocking cfl's im stuck using them right now myself but they cant touch HID's

@liamsdad33 I agree, HIDs aren't comparable to CFL.. Don't get me wrong, I love CFLs for side lighting or fresh clones, but for the end product, gotta love HID.
As for LED, I can't speak from personal experience, however from what I've read and seen on grow forums, is that for the same wattage, you seem to be getting much more weight, getting almost always 1g per watt..

sure but if he had used HID he would have more effeiciently used that electricity and would have had more weed in the end. Its about making sure the watts you use are the BEST QUALITY and then you will get the best results.

What a stupid thing to say. Your argument is that growing involves risk. CFL's greatly lower the risk of being caught because they can be put into tiny boxes and still wont get hot. There are even CFL's that remove odor so essentially the only risk there is to growing w/ CFL's is telling other people you're growing. not to mention when you buy HPS lights online THEY TRACK YOU!!!!!!!!!

CFL can work great, but you need reflectors on each bulb and go with atleast 42watts which put out 2600+ lumens HPS is good and all but its not possible in every situation CFL is a great substitute for HPS with a little effort and good reflective material all over you can get what you need year round. On the cheap whoever tells you otherwise does not know what he is saying.

@Bigbangproductions4u its true you can but this is NOT how you wanna go about it unless you want a half once yeild... the plant needs CFL exposure within 6 inches of everywhere on the plant ... this means run cfls on the sides and ALOT more then this ... Its true you only get as many as watts as your highest light so even if you using 200 30 w lights your really still only gunna get 30 w of light out of it .. so make sure there enough CFL's... There all i use so i agree you can use them..

I think hes ctaully around 4 weeks dont forget you dont know when your plant actually reset itself for flowering process. Its known that the first approx 5 days usually have some veg growth. you dont want to bring them outside, you get bugs and diseases wich can lead to an indoor infestation. If you do have a sky-light or a large window that gets alot of direct sunlight, then you can do that. Better off growing one way or another, less stress on plant and less chance of accidents (they do happen,trust).
