I gave up learning to fly, it's not hard, but it's just really a setback. The reason is because I'm autistic, and I don't think the FAA like to many like me around these days. I was half way down my PPL before I found out it would be tough for me to go somewhere commercial. =/
14 and flying in a Katana???? Where I live you could only fly in Gliders when you're 14! I'm not 100% sure but a Katana is that 2 person light aircraft huh?
Thomas Cook sponsered me and i trained with CTC. Just become a normal FO not a Cadet which means I can fly not just with Senior Pilots and i get better pay and can leave the airline as i've paid off my flight training bills
I had to put down £50,000 incase for some reason i quite so they still got their money but that was from no flying at all. Nowadays i think its about £60,000
I am 737 pilot. I don't think you can be a civil jet pilot. But you probably can fly in a Glider or something like a Cessna! Maybe it's not fair but get your Medical in a country like Croatia, there they don't do difficult about such things...!
Yeah I'm planning on first saving some money, en then i want to go to Australia or somewhere colourblindness isn't such a great deal. But in America scientists have probably found a solution for colourblindness; it is allready tested on monkeys , and it works, so let's pray ;)
I'm always amazed how low the cross-head speed of 747!
It seems to be lower than the 737.
For an airplane of this size is impressive
Sure, the 747 is a plane exception.

where did you work to get all that money? did you study something first to pay to be a pilot?
pilotoatomico 3 years ago
I took a loan out and once i joined thomas cook they would give me about £10,000 back a year to pay it off.

But I have a light form of Colorblindness :(, so probably it's unreachable for me :5...
If someone knows a solution for me ... Plz let me know ;

Jamalje 2 years ago
You can still become an airline pilot even though you wear glasses; the tolerance is +5 and -5.
