Your correct, we didnt evolve FROM anything. Humans share a common ancestor with chimpanze`s. wich further back share a common ancestor with the gorilla or something, and so on. Creationists doesnt understand that we didnt evolve from current existing animals.
your hat is gay, btw i'm not a mad christian, i just think your hat is gay, lose it. because you look really gay with that gay hat. Just sayin.... you'd look better w/out that hat, you know... because it's gay.
The proof we came from a common ancestor with 48 chromosomes is fairly obvious when you understand biology. We would not be what we are if our DNA was sequenced in another sequence and it would be improbable that 2 species would evolve with such similar (mostly identical) DNA sequences unless they came from a common ancestor.
So to answer your statement, there is proof we did not come from an ancestor with 40 chromosomes, you just need to educate yourself so you are able to understand it
Opinion respected; however, please the next time you "defeat" an opinion, don't lay down "coulds", "perhaps", "might haves", etc... Against an argument sustaining hard facts, you must prepare hard facts; possibility does not apply here. I like your guts, yet your whole 2:16 speech here involved little to no professional means. Please, look at who you're talking to, prepare yourself prior to your given opinion, leave room for judgment, and don't be such a smart alec. Mr. GED, good luck.
@lostlilkid As this wasn't a response to a video that contained something remotely resembling an argument that sustains hard facts, I saw no need to waste my time looking up all of the information required to disprove the craziness that was VFX.

@Lance378 that's because i really suck at explaining my thought processes verbally. Kinda why I don't do videos anymore. Also, not having the video this was a response to up makes it kinda hard to get what I'm talking about.
@DraconianDebate Please don't take offense, but when you admit that you cannot explain what you think, that is always a clear sign that you don't understand the topic. Words come easy to one who understands. You have a "sense" that you don't accept something, but your inability to explain proves your lack of understanding of the subject matter. In the future, perhaps you might try to understand before you think you refuted an well-established theory backed by an incredible amount of evidence.
@harlon57 This wasn't a refutation of the video its a response to, as I've stated numerous times. It was, instead, a response to a video by VenomFangX. As VFX has never given a solid argument in his life, and never bothers with actual facts, I saw no need to do more research. Unfortunately my memory failed me in this instance, which just shows why you should always do research before a video, even if the person is an idiot.

@minggordon Amazingly there are these things called "jokes" that people on this planet use, of which this is one. Also, I actually have no problem with Jesus or HIS teachings, and am actually working on a book with a working title of "The Secular Moral Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth" which goes into detail examining the actual teachings of Jesus without any of the craziness found in the bible.
@minggordon Well I'm going to start a series called "Why do people laugh at high school graduates?" Wanna bet on who will get more views? I'm going to go with myself on this one, as I actually know how to get thousands of views.
Congratulations, I cant wait to read your paper on it! You must have some fantastic evidence that refutes current knowledge. It would be ground-breaking stuff.
Of course, your argument doesn't disprove evolution. What you've given us is an interesting idea for an essay - but offering lots of alternative 'could's is not a refutation. You could be right..you're probably wrong, but you could be right.. who can say....? What have you got against apes anyway? Too early to be smug, I'm afraid.
@quinneycup Apparently its also too early to read annotations and not be an idiot, as you are yet another person who thinks that I am trying to disprove evolution when I am in fact an atheist.
@minggordon I find it funny that you are the one saying that I need to go back to English class when your own abilities with the English language are so poor.
I'd like to add (on a friendly note) that simply because an organism has more or less chromosomes than another does NOT mean it is more advanced or higher on the evolutionary chain. There are other flaws in your statement, but even your slightly uneducated ramble is more than enough to shut up most creationists with sense (bit of an oxymoron really). Nice try dude! Do a bit of research before hand next time! ;D
@Leaf0Sand0Ninja Thank you! Some plants have more chromosomes than us. Also dogs, beavers, goats, hedgehogs, sheep, tobacco even. ALL of those Flora and Fauna have more chromosomes than PEOPLE
Haha, "48 chromosomes, 24 base pairs." I stopped the video right there because I knew this guy doesn't understand genetics. If any organism had 24 base pairs of DNA, it would undoubtedly be inviable. Most genes are significantly longer than 24 base pairs; we're talking hundreds and thousands of base pairs which code for proteins with hundreds or thousands of amino acids...but I'll watch the rest of the video...
@DraconianDebate: That's fine if you're not a molecular biologist. If you don't know about a subject, then don't make a video about it. Sowing disinformation is unacceptable. This is a significant error. You confused base pairs with pairs of chromosomes. Base pairs are pairs of nucleotides; chromosomes are composed of millions of nucleotides. There are 3 billion base pairs in the human genome. Compare that to the 23 to which you gave credit--you were off by a factor of 130 million...
@aplee2006 As I had gotten that from the person I was making this video towards, I don't think it is me that you should be talking too. Of course, since that person left youtube that might be kinda hard. As well, it seems to me that the only thing that was wrong is the word itself, what you are saying makes no difference on the underlying message I was trying to deliver.
@DraconianDebate Then don't make a video about it. Oh and the subject you're looking for is Genetics. Which you learn about if you pass ANY high school Science class.
@DraconianDebate Oh okay. Not learning what "Uncle Sam" wants you to. Because the scary liberal government is out to brainwash you by teaching you the evil sciences! Accepting that you're an ignorant man who doesn't know what he is talking about really REALLY helps your argument.
@Deckard93 First of all, it is hilarious that you think we actually have a liberal government. Secondly, I'm not some crazy person with tinfoil on his head. I don't want to learn what they try to teach me in high school because it is completely worthless, not because it might "brainwash" me.
@Deckard93 I find it funny that you accuse me of being unwilling to learn anything when you aren't even willing to READ anything, never mind learn from what is there. I don't need to know how to write a poem, because I am not a poet. I don't need to know how to perform calculus, because I am not an engineer; and I don't need to know that mixing fertilizer and diesel fuel will create an explosive, because I am not a terrorist.
wasn't it proven that we share a common ancestor with primates through the discovery that one of our gene pairs is fused? Thus explaining why we 23 pairs instead of the 24 that modern primates have...
But that's what I don't see happening, that "split". I can see the common ancestor argument but that still suggest that at one point we were pretty much them. If that's the case than we "split" but during that split how could a human population arise? I doubt that multiple primates suddenly gave way to 46 chromosome humans allowing our species to go from there. Its more logical that a gorilla or chimp had one accident baby (if that's possible).
Ooooor this video wasn't actually made as a response to the video its a response to (it was originally posted as a response to a VenomFangX video) and was made a response to it afterward. The video was a direct refutation of one of his idiotic statements that made absolutely no sense even before I did ANY research on it. Thanks for the asshole comment though!
Ok then... tell us exactly what video you were responding to... and I'll tear apart your response again. You basically don't understand this "fused chromosome" argument and in your video you actually make an argument FOR evolution.
And by the way, church boy, there's no reason to get childish, personal, and aggressive by calling me names... maybe that's your primitive remnants coming out. LOL
Wow you are FUNNY! If you'd actually watched MY video, you'd note that i'm not a Christian, I'm an Atheist. The video was a refutation of a CREATIONIST video by VenomFangX (probably the most well known Creationist on youtube)
Who is this comment refering to? If its myself, there are no Young Earth Creationists that have legitimate scientific degree's that have published any type of actual theory. Of course, if you were directing that towards someone else then I completely agree.
The theory of evolution was postulated due to effects which became evident over time.
If you truly disagree with the scientific postulate (which has been thoroughly tested using numerous techniques), why don't you submit your own scientific paper? No doubt you will only submit a single sentence "God made us."
Additionally, if creationism were true, why is it not evident scientifically?
You can't just have chromosomes popping up willynilly. I'm of the theory of a pair fusing together. I believe our common ancestor had 48 chromosomes to start with.
Oh, that sounded bad. I don't mean they always had 48. Just that the most recent ancestor did. They evolved to have 48 and we evolved from that 48 and ended up with 46.
We very well could have had 40 at one point. But the scientific data leads me to believe that our most recent ancestor had 48, which led to the 46. Its easier for one pair to fuse together than to have 6 chromosomes just appear.
Your comment is why so many have no respect for atheists. The religion of atheism can be thought of as a parasitic religion. It is a parasite because it gets its life force or purpose in life by chiding other religions. To borrow your logic, a builder doesn't exist because you didn't see him build the building that you are in. Therefore it is "bullshit". Sure, that makes a lot of sense.
Also athiesm by definiton is not a religon, its more of a unorginized collective of free-thinkers, we dont beileve in a God or gods, or ultimate truth. Yes sure we may have not seen the building we are in built but we KNOW how building are built and the process in which they are designed, planned and constructed and we have probly seen a building being build at some point in our life. the probability that our building came from magic is not valid, based on evidence of what we can prove.
The religion of atheism is in no way at all associate with "free thinking". It's quite the opposite. It is subscribing to a set belief. God doesn't exist. No discussion, no research, etc... Just case closed. Mind closed.
once agian you fail by definition, Atheism is not a religion, right there i know you dont know shit but ill entertain the argument. the fact that you say that athiesm bring sup no discussion or research is pretty laughable, what does religion bring to the table in terms of evidence or research? oh wait yea nothing my bad. your the one with the closed mind if you refuse to even logically think about evolution or even look at the TONS of evidence for it.
The religion of atheism is a religion because an atheist can only BELIEVE God doesn't exist. Therefore, atheists share a belief system that God doesn't exist. What does religion bring to the table? Depends on what you mean by religion, but do some research and find out where hospitals and universities came from. You might even come across several of those pesky God Believers that were scientists too. Oh yeah, the literal "tons of evidence for evolution." Where is it?
You tell us to do some research, when you haven't done ANY yourself. There is quite a lot of it, and its very easy to find. I'm not going to do your job for you, because your just going to end up ignoring it anyways.
No discussion and no research? Have you been living under a rock? There has been a lot of research into religion by both theist (and deists) and atheists.
I suggest you visit your local library some time before you say more nonsense.
Although there are atheists like this, that is not the definition of an atheist. Atheist is simply not believing there is a god. I am an atheist, simply because I can find no reason to believe that there are one or more gods.
If somebody were to prove otherwise, I'd be the first to switch to atheism. My mind is still open to the alternatives, even though they are extremely unlikely.
Look, my wife is Christian and I am atheist and we get along just fine. The reason is because she isn't constantly trying to tell me I'm going to hell and I'm not constantly telling her that she's delusional for believing in an imaginary creator.
Saying you have no respect for atheists because one guy makes a stupid comment is just an excuse... you are actually scared of atheists because we openly discuss what you truly believe deep down but don't want to receive the judgment that we get.
We evolved from a common ancestor? Ok... Does that mean pineaapples and porcupines share a common ancestor? Is a field mouse a distant relative of humans???
The common ancestor of a porcupine and a pineapple would (probably) be one of the single-cell organisms that were the first life on this planet. And yes, mice and humans are distantly related.
Actually it is impossible to live without faith. You are putting faith in the belief that life came about by things evolving over billions and billions of years. The proverbial "loads of evidence" is evasive. We never hear all of the loads or mounds of evidence.
Oh yea? See, if you actually LOOKED AROUND THE NET, you'd find those mounds of evidence. Or do I need to go and find it for you. Trust me, it is there, and therefore it is not faith.
@DraconianDebate I think your statement about the loads of evidence is wrong, there may be much evidence of evolution, but there is no definative proof of gods existence OR non-existance so in that case you or anyone else havn't even a shred of evidence let alone mounds of it.
@minggordon I don't recall saying that there is evidence against god. There is definitely evidence against the bible, but there is no evidence that disproves god, as it is impossible to do so. However, as there is also no evidence that proves the existence of god, it is foolish to believe in him.
I prefer a logical Probability scenario. The probability that life was created through a magical sky ruler is not on the same levels of that of micro/macro evolution, or even the origins of first life (abiogenesis). YOU never see the mounds of evidence, becuase you dont look for it simply enough. weres the evidence for anything in the bible? please show me without using the bible for evidence for itself. the shear number of diffrent religons slashs the validity of the bible.
Let's see you try to go one day without exercising faith in one form of another. In the morning, when you have your cornflakes. Don't trust that the makers of the cereal safeguarded your health - test every flake to see if it is safe to eat. When you get in your car, don't simply believe your brakes are going to stop you, check out everything before you even crank it up. Like it or not, everybody uses faith every day.
There is a difference between faith in a fictional character with no proof to support its existence, and faith in rational thinking and experimentation.
And your cornflakes argument is flawed. It's not a matter of faith, but apathy. Scientifically seen, the chances of it being poisoned is extremely small. Therefor I do not care and take the risk.
Sure, I have "faith" in science. But the so-called faith is not blind. Blind faith is what the real problem in this world is.
Again, we're not talking about "blind faith". That's a contradiction. Also, faith in a fictional character is a strawman logical fallacy. I wasn't talking about faith in a fictional character.
Fair enough. So what is your point anyway? I was interpreting faith in the context of religion, since that is exactly what this video is about.
Faith in one or more supernatural gods is blind faith per definition, since there is absolutely no evidence supporting its existence.
Also, the cornflakes argument is still flawed, even though I do concede that people have ti have faith all the time (ie faith in that what they see with their eyes is really there).
Faith is blind, irrational belief. I trust that cornflakes will not kill me because they have not killed me in the past, and I am aware of many other individuals who eat them on a daily basis and are perfectly fine. If I were to read in the paper about a massive cornflake recal because they have been found to be a health hazard, I would cease to eat cornflakes. People do not have 'faith in cornflakes'; rather, they use rationality and the information that is available to determine reality.
It's impossible to live without faith. It isn't blind or irrational. Matter of fact, we're supposed to walk by faith, not by sight. Like it or not, you are exercising faith in something or another every day.
I like your idea. Why apes! Evolution is truly the way we came to be, but how, and from what??? Do we delve into extraterrestial seeding from cometary remains? Do we follow the 7 day approach listed by the Bible? Is there a missing link we haven't found yet? Occam's Razor may not apply here, for we are so utterly lost in this conceptualization...
That was the worst argument that I have ever heard.

Humans didn't evolve from apes as we know them today - We all evolved from a common ancestor millions of years ago.
Chimpanzees didn't suddenly turn into humans ffs.

@Obain Hello Captain Obvious, thanks for coming by and telling us things we already know.
DraconianDebate 1 year ago
I'd like to add (on a friendly note) that simply because an organism has more or less chromosomes than another does NOT mean it is more advanced or higher on the evolutionary chain. There are other flaws in your statement, but even your slightly uneducated ramble is more than enough to shut up most creationists with sense (bit of an oxymoron really). Nice try dude! Do a bit of research before hand next time! ;D
Leaf0Sand0Ninja 1 year ago
@Leaf0Sand0Ninja Thank you! Some plants have more chromosomes than us. Also dogs, beavers, goats, hedgehogs, sheep, tobacco even. ALL of those Flora and Fauna have more chromosomes than PEOPLE
Deckard93 1 year ago
Haha, "48 chromosomes, 24 base pairs." I stopped the video right there because I knew this guy doesn't understand genetics. If any organism had 24 base pairs of DNA, it would undoubtedly be inviable. Most genes are significantly longer than 24 base pairs; we're talking hundreds and thousands of base pairs which code for proteins with hundreds or thousands of amino acids...but I'll watch the rest of the video...
aplee2006 1 year ago
@aplee2006 I believe I already made it clear that I am not a molecular biologist.
DraconianDebate 1 year ago
@DraconianDebate: That's fine if you're not a molecular biologist. If you don't know about a subject, then don't make a video about it. Sowing disinformation is unacceptable. This is a significant error. You confused base pairs with pairs of chromosomes. Base pairs are pairs of nucleotides; chromosomes are composed of millions of nucleotides. There are 3 billion base pairs in the human genome. Compare that to the 23 to which you gave credit--you were off by a factor of 130 million...
aplee2006 1 year ago
@aplee2006 As I had gotten that from the person I was making this video towards, I don't think it is me that you should be talking too. Of course, since that person left youtube that might be kinda hard. As well, it seems to me that the only thing that was wrong is the word itself, what you are saying makes no difference on the underlying message I was trying to deliver.
DraconianDebate 1 year ago
@DraconianDebate Then don't make a video about it. Oh and the subject you're looking for is Genetics. Which you learn about if you pass ANY high school Science class.
Deckard93 1 year ago
@Deckard93 Apologies for not learning what Uncle Sam tells me to.
DraconianDebate 1 year ago
@DraconianDebate Oh okay. Not learning what "Uncle Sam" wants you to. Because the scary liberal government is out to brainwash you by teaching you the evil sciences! Accepting that you're an ignorant man who doesn't know what he is talking about really REALLY helps your argument.
Deckard93 1 year ago
@Deckard93 First of all, it is hilarious that you think we actually have a liberal government. Secondly, I'm not some crazy person with tinfoil on his head. I don't want to learn what they try to teach me in high school because it is completely worthless, not because it might "brainwash" me.
DraconianDebate 1 year ago
@DraconianDebate Then you can't have a logical debate. If your unwilling to learn anything, why think that someone will even listen to your argument
Deckard93 1 year ago
@Deckard93 I find it funny that you accuse me of being unwilling to learn anything when you aren't even willing to READ anything, never mind learn from what is there. I don't need to know how to write a poem, because I am not a poet. I don't need to know how to perform calculus, because I am not an engineer; and I don't need to know that mixing fertilizer and diesel fuel will create an explosive, because I am not a terrorist.

If one human with 46 chromosomes was made then how could it survive?
seanfenrir 2 years ago
But that's what I don't see happening, that "split". I can see the common ancestor argument but that still suggest that at one point we were pretty much them. If that's the case than we "split" but during that split how could a human population arise? I doubt that multiple primates suddenly gave way to 46 chromosome humans allowing our species to go from there. Its more logical that a gorilla or chimp had one accident baby (if that's possible).
seanfenrir 2 years ago
.....Yes. That is exactly right. I have no idea where you got the idea that I was saying we "suddenly split". That isn't how evolution works.

DraconianDebate 2 years ago
Ok then... tell us exactly what video you were responding to... and I'll tear apart your response again. You basically don't understand this "fused chromosome" argument and in your video you actually make an argument FOR evolution.
And by the way, church boy, there's no reason to get childish, personal, and aggressive by calling me names... maybe that's your primitive remnants coming out. LOL

PonguigPeopinn 2 years ago 2
You can't just have chromosomes popping up willynilly. I'm of the theory of a pair fusing together. I believe our common ancestor had 48 chromosomes to start with.
brokenskyy 2 years ago
Oh, that sounded bad. I don't mean they always had 48. Just that the most recent ancestor did. They evolved to have 48 and we evolved from that 48 and ended up with 46.
brokenskyy 2 years ago
Whats to stop us from evolving from 40 to 42 to 44 to 46 ?
DraconianDebate 2 years ago
We very well could have had 40 at one point. But the scientific data leads me to believe that our most recent ancestor had 48, which led to the 46. Its easier for one pair to fuse together than to have 6 chromosomes just appear.

Your comment is why so many have no respect for atheists. The religion of atheism can be thought of as a parasitic religion. It is a parasite because it gets its life force or purpose in life by chiding other religions. To borrow your logic, a builder doesn't exist because you didn't see him build the building that you are in. Therefore it is "bullshit". Sure, that makes a lot of sense.
Haekel68 2 years ago
Also athiesm by definiton is not a religon, its more of a unorginized collective of free-thinkers, we dont beileve in a God or gods, or ultimate truth. Yes sure we may have not seen the building we are in built but we KNOW how building are built and the process in which they are designed, planned and constructed and we have probly seen a building being build at some point in our life. the probability that our building came from magic is not valid, based on evidence of what we can prove.
redwaker 2 years ago
The religion of atheism is in no way at all associate with "free thinking". It's quite the opposite. It is subscribing to a set belief. God doesn't exist. No discussion, no research, etc... Just case closed. Mind closed.
Haekel68 2 years ago
once agian you fail by definition, Atheism is not a religion, right there i know you dont know shit but ill entertain the argument. the fact that you say that athiesm bring sup no discussion or research is pretty laughable, what does religion bring to the table in terms of evidence or research? oh wait yea nothing my bad. your the one with the closed mind if you refuse to even logically think about evolution or even look at the TONS of evidence for it.
redwaker 2 years ago
The religion of atheism is a religion because an atheist can only BELIEVE God doesn't exist. Therefore, atheists share a belief system that God doesn't exist. What does religion bring to the table? Depends on what you mean by religion, but do some research and find out where hospitals and universities came from. You might even come across several of those pesky God Believers that were scientists too. Oh yeah, the literal "tons of evidence for evolution." Where is it?
Haekel68 2 years ago
You tell us to do some research, when you haven't done ANY yourself. There is quite a lot of it, and its very easy to find. I'm not going to do your job for you, because your just going to end up ignoring it anyways.
DraconianDebate 2 years ago
No discussion and no research? Have you been living under a rock? There has been a lot of research into religion by both theist (and deists) and atheists.
I suggest you visit your local library some time before you say more nonsense.
Eruonen 2 years ago
Although there are atheists like this, that is not the definition of an atheist. Atheist is simply not believing there is a god. I am an atheist, simply because I can find no reason to believe that there are one or more gods.
If somebody were to prove otherwise, I'd be the first to switch to atheism. My mind is still open to the alternatives, even though they are extremely unlikely.
Eruonen 2 years ago
I forgot about the bald guy not collecting stamps. We keep hearing about that poor guy but he still doesn't make a valid point.
Haekel68 2 years ago
Look, my wife is Christian and I am atheist and we get along just fine. The reason is because she isn't constantly trying to tell me I'm going to hell and I'm not constantly telling her that she's delusional for believing in an imaginary creator.
Saying you have no respect for atheists because one guy makes a stupid comment is just an excuse... you are actually scared of atheists because we openly discuss what you truly believe deep down but don't want to receive the judgment that we get.
jeffreyathompson 2 years ago
We evolved from a common ancestor? Ok... Does that mean pineaapples and porcupines share a common ancestor? Is a field mouse a distant relative of humans???
Haekel68 2 years ago
The common ancestor of a porcupine and a pineapple would (probably) be one of the single-cell organisms that were the first life on this planet. And yes, mice and humans are distantly related.
DraconianDebate 2 years ago
I admire your faith.
Haekel68 2 years ago
Oh no, Faith requires no evidence. We have evidence, loads of it.
DraconianDebate 2 years ago
Actually it is impossible to live without faith. You are putting faith in the belief that life came about by things evolving over billions and billions of years. The proverbial "loads of evidence" is evasive. We never hear all of the loads or mounds of evidence.
Haekel68 2 years ago
Oh yea? See, if you actually LOOKED AROUND THE NET, you'd find those mounds of evidence. Or do I need to go and find it for you. Trust me, it is there, and therefore it is not faith.
DraconianDebate 2 years ago
@DraconianDebate I think your statement about the loads of evidence is wrong, there may be much evidence of evolution, but there is no definative proof of gods existence OR non-existance so in that case you or anyone else havn't even a shred of evidence let alone mounds of it.
minggordon 1 year ago
@minggordon I don't recall saying that there is evidence against god. There is definitely evidence against the bible, but there is no evidence that disproves god, as it is impossible to do so. However, as there is also no evidence that proves the existence of god, it is foolish to believe in him.
DraconianDebate 1 year ago
I prefer a logical Probability scenario. The probability that life was created through a magical sky ruler is not on the same levels of that of micro/macro evolution, or even the origins of first life (abiogenesis). YOU never see the mounds of evidence, becuase you dont look for it simply enough. weres the evidence for anything in the bible? please show me without using the bible for evidence for itself. the shear number of diffrent religons slashs the validity of the bible.
redwaker 2 years ago
No, it's impossible to live without food, water and oxygen (for human beings).
People can manage without faith.
Eruonen 2 years ago
Let's see you try to go one day without exercising faith in one form of another. In the morning, when you have your cornflakes. Don't trust that the makers of the cereal safeguarded your health - test every flake to see if it is safe to eat. When you get in your car, don't simply believe your brakes are going to stop you, check out everything before you even crank it up. Like it or not, everybody uses faith every day.
Haekel68 2 years ago
There is a difference between faith in a fictional character with no proof to support its existence, and faith in rational thinking and experimentation.
And your cornflakes argument is flawed. It's not a matter of faith, but apathy. Scientifically seen, the chances of it being poisoned is extremely small. Therefor I do not care and take the risk.
Sure, I have "faith" in science. But the so-called faith is not blind. Blind faith is what the real problem in this world is.
Eruonen 2 years ago
Again, we're not talking about "blind faith". That's a contradiction. Also, faith in a fictional character is a strawman logical fallacy. I wasn't talking about faith in a fictional character.
Haekel68 2 years ago
Fair enough. So what is your point anyway? I was interpreting faith in the context of religion, since that is exactly what this video is about.
Faith in one or more supernatural gods is blind faith per definition, since there is absolutely no evidence supporting its existence.
Also, the cornflakes argument is still flawed, even though I do concede that people have ti have faith all the time (ie faith in that what they see with their eyes is really there).
Eruonen 2 years ago
Faith is blind, irrational belief. I trust that cornflakes will not kill me because they have not killed me in the past, and I am aware of many other individuals who eat them on a daily basis and are perfectly fine. If I were to read in the paper about a massive cornflake recal because they have been found to be a health hazard, I would cease to eat cornflakes. People do not have 'faith in cornflakes'; rather, they use rationality and the information that is available to determine reality.
1emart1 2 years ago
It's impossible to live without faith. It isn't blind or irrational. Matter of fact, we're supposed to walk by faith, not by sight. Like it or not, you are exercising faith in something or another every day.
Haekel68 2 years ago
What is your definition of 'faith'?
