  • Which do you like more, This, or the MJM Dallas Boost??

im stuck in the middle, and dont know which one to get :S

  • Hbe delivers in a low price. love this pedal planning on getting one soon..

  • Please demo this pedal with a Strat too. Thanks.

  • Stone Temple Pilots at 4:30

  • thats a drive pedal right there, will definitely be getting that :)

  • i swear if this keeps up i'm going be living under a bridge with a shopping cart full of pedals!

  • I have to say i noticed in your website descriotion you didnt metion Ritchie Blackmore in the treble booster users list.... Just sayin hhhh

  • I love the way you solo.... just awsome. Pure Rock n Roll

  • I play a '98 Epiphone Les Paul through a Marshall Artist 3203 and I just can't seem to get enough treble out of the boost channel. Is there a particular boost pedal you would recommend?

  • what amp are you using?

  • Do you have a suggestion for a treble boost pedal for a Peavey Classic 50?

  • Hi Andy,

I bought one of these little demons because of your demo. Now I have the tone I've always wanted. Thanks, bro!

  • God, I have one of these broken, just sittin around my house...I need to fuckin repair it lol

  • Sounds great, but one question: in your opinion, where is the best position on the fx signal chain, to place a treble boost. Currently have Wah, compressor, old distortion, overdrive, phase, tremolo into blues deluxe (4x10). Really curious to know where treble boost would fit best in this context,

    Cheers

    Mark

  • Will this work for getting more gain out of my Orange Thunderverb? I currently use a CAE 401 for it but that boosts noise as well.

  • What treble booster would work best in trying to obtain that early Tony Iommi tone? I know he used a Dallas Arbiter Rangemaster, but what pedal is best for coming close to that sound? Thanks! :)

  • Would this be a good pedal to get that old school Tony Iommi sound? I'm talking Black Sabbath's first EP guitar tone

  • Andy, You said new old stock germanium, is it an OC44? Damn you and your vague details Andy!

  • How big is difference between Keeley Java boost and Germania (and 44)? I really dig the java boost, but I can buy 44 really cheap, but the problem is that I'm not in position to try it.

  • There's a trick to making a booster pedal operate at it's optimum level. Message me if you're really interested and I'll tell you all about it.

  • I'm thinking about getting this. I play heavy metal in the style of Judas Priest, Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Pantera. But, I want this as my lead tone to give me that Rory Gallagher Iommi lead bluesy tone, do you think this is the right choice?

  • Treble boosters are fantastic! More power and tone than the best overdrives out there!

  • the dry signal is AWFULLY dark. the pedal sounds fantastic, but it must be pretty damn bright if the dry signal is that bassy.

  • @lzsthjp - The treble-booster design originally-came about because British players wanted to get a more-American sound (ie. brighter) out of their darker-sounding British amps. They were trying to make their British amps sound like a Fender. They just had no idea of the wonderful monster they created (until Clapton used his with a JTM45 on the "Bluesbreakers" album).

Anyway, that's why PGS used such a dark-sounding amp.

  • just can't decide between this one and mjm dallas boost...

  • Love that rough and raw tone only a treble booster can supply.

  • Sounds amazing, more modern guitarists need to use boosters.

  • Can I use the Germania in effect loop valve guitar amp (peavey classic 50) ?

  • I suppose you could, but we wouldn't recommend it. This guy's made to go in frontside.

  • So.. I'm wrong if I think that only the linear boost can go in s/r ?

    Thanks

  • yes, NEVER put a booster, distortion, fuzz, or overdrive in an effects loop

  • I use it with an AC4TV, awesome. Can't use it on my big amp 'cause that would require unnecessary loudness.

  • The biggest key to the way the pedal sounds on this video is "volume at stage level", because you can't get this sound unless its that loud.

  • you have to play it into a cranked tube amp to get this tone.

  • I actually purchased the Germania44, after I checked out this demo. I returned it tho, since it doesn't sound nowhere like this demo. Can there really be that much difference?

  • whats the difference between this and the 'HBE Germania 44'??

  • sounds nice, i was hoping he would've played some deep purple licks on the strat...

  • that purple is smexy

  • sweet boost for a thick distrtion. perfect for an end of the world fuzztortion tone. sweet man.

  • Which song is on 3:50?

  • QUEEN!

  • Why did i get a thumbs down? It's stone cold crazy for the opening song!

  • Can you use this like an OD?

  • Looks like they took away the 3Q switch on the 44, which is a shame IMO... unless it sounds better! ;D

  • Which is better Germania or Germania44? :)

  • Ive got a boner

  • XD!!!

  • This sounds great! Could it be used as a stright rorward overdrive? I sounds like it has plenty of gain.

  • will you get any gain out of this on a solid state amp because i know it is more or less for a tube amp? and secondly is true by pass because when you played and it was off the tone sounded like it was not true bypass?

  • its true bypass yes

  • I was wondering, would this thing still pump out all the mid and treble boost that makes it sound so plexi like at bedroom levels? If not, would it do that if I put a power attenuator on the amp?

  • What's the last song played? It's well known, isn't it?

  • stereogram-walkie talkie man

  • I've got an older version and did the input capacitor mod myself with a rotary switch - Saraceno dirty Boy style. This pedal is the absolute duck's nuts : )

  • diggin' that HI-FI sound with the 'paul

  • damnit!!!! i cant's remember the name of the song he is playing at the beginning!!!! can anyone help me out?

  • It's Queen's Stone Cold Crazy

  • Awesome!! \m/

    Rock on andy!!

  • definetly have to get my hands on one of these, thats some signature tone right there

  • first 30 seconds is awesome!

  • STP! I have the version w/out the 3Q switch and it kicks ass- also works great in front of a good overdrive pedal.

  • I'm totally getting this.

  • Not only does it sound killer. The purple sparkle paint is sweet.

  • Hell, I'd buy it if it were just a gray metal box. This is the tone I've been searching for. It's bright enough to cut through the mix like an electric guitar should, but not too bright that it ends up being like nails on a chalkboard. I'll probably buy this online when I'm on vacation in the summer :)

  • whats the song at 4:40. i know i should know.

  • I think it's "Big Bang Baby" by Stone temple pilots.

  • walkie talkie man i think

  • whats the difference between this and the germania44?

  • the only difference is that they updated the germanium transistors

  • vary nice i like the sound alot

  • man. beautifully, beautifully wired.

  • pretty wiring!

  • cool

  • I dig it.

  • cool cool cool cool

  • STONE COLD CRAZY

  • cool cool cool cool

  • this is a pretty cool pedal,

I'd buy one but I have a mark IV which has the EQ in it already,

sounds really good though, good demo

  • this isn't an eq pedal

  • Cool, Cool, VERY, COOOOOL!

  • cool cool cool cool

  • cool

  • lol midrange honk.

  • stone-cold review!!!

  • cool cool cool cool

  • cool cool cool

  • cool cool cool

  • Rangemaster... isn't that waht iommi used in his ozzy sabbath days???? Dallas rangemaster i think.

  • yup!

  • cool cool

  • cool
