The UFC really needs to add these lighter weight classes, because they are INSANE! I happened to stumble upon this guy Torres fighting on TV. It was one of the most fast paced fights I have ever seen. All 3 rounds the 2 guys were just throwing down without looking tired at all. The quickness of the lighter weight classes makes them so entertaining. Good for the WEC to have them.

Yeah i wish they wold do that too but thats wat zuffa decided to do with UFC and WEC. WEC is the lighter weight classes and UFC keeps the heavier weight classes.

The only thing that kinda confuses me is how both promotions have a light weight class. i guess its cuz the UFC doesnt wanna give up BJ Penn lol. who can blame them, BJ Penn's hardcore!

For people who missed the knockout and didn't know why it ended, that happened to me like 3 times then I finally saw it.

You noticed how Maeda's eye was closing during the whole match cuz it took a pounding? Eventauly Torres hit it with a good left hook and just completely smashed his eye socket so they ref stopped the match because Madeda's whole right half of his face was just a huge bruise, and he was escorted off with doctors on each side.

AMAZING fight though, led up to a better one.

yes that was the best fight i've seen a long time...it was almost like a fight sequence cuz there were so many counterattacks...mad props to both fighters especially torres for winning even though i was going for maeda

Torres vs. Maeda was Match of the Night to be honest. It was better than Pulver vs. Faber because Torres and Maeda went all out and kept going even though they took blows that would have potentially knocked them out.
