  • BURN THE WITCH!

  • I don't think Data would have put the anvil back on the guy's leg, because even without his memory he still has common sense

    (AND his ethical program.)

  • What? An Anvil with THREE blunted horns? It MUST be an alien planet.

  • Data: Geez, it was just paper mache!

  • WITCH!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! BURN THE WITCH!!!!!!

  • the people didnt even check to see if it was just made of styrofoam

  • Lol I was half expecting Data to put it back down on the dude's leg haha!

  • Geordi: "Data! What happened to your penis?"

Data: "I need you to reattach it."

Geordi: "How did it come off?"

Data: "I was attempting to explore human sexuality."

    Geordi: "So what happened?"

Data: "I was trying to masturbate and I jerked it off."

  • @farmerdwight He should have practiced on a hotdog.

  • Data must get all the ladies

  • the guy has some super strong leg bones. shouldn't his leg be crushed. O_*

  • @MrHoppers002 Yes, but not like a pancake. Hr probably got a few fractured bones, and if lucky, just one.

  • a iron stand like that for welding and hammering has got to be at least 1-2 tons.

  • it would have been funny if data dropped that thing right back onto his leg

  • It would be funny if when the guy asked Data to put it back down, he set it back onto the guys leg! XD

  • @SpockLover27 naah data wouldn't do this!

  • @Zalajoonuhu1994 Sure he would, if he thought he was supposed to take it literally. :P

  • @SpockLover27 dude i TOTALLY thought he was gonna do that!

  • I can't find this episode on youtube. Can you post the video and reply with the link to it?

  • @supergreatsuper There used to be a TON of Star Trek episodes on youtube, heck someone had all of Deep Space 9! But I'm afraid all of it, on every channel, has just recently been removed due to copywrite. It's so annoying... -_-

  • @SpockLover27 ya, laws do shure get in the way of you not paying for peoples hard work.

  • @MrWooaa Lol, Don't worry, I'm going too buy the season's, as soon as I get enough money and a job. So don't worry, I will pay for all the times I have watched them. Just not right this sec, because I can't.

  • @SpockLover27 oh good. i am happy that you like the show enogh to pay for it, even if there are ways( iligal ways) to watch it anyway. live long and prosper!

  • @SpockLover27 I'm glad I have DS9, TNG and VGR on digits.

  • Data is awesome

  • How did i get on his foot?? if it's so heavy

  • @Maxster9947

i dont know, maybe whatever was supporting the anvil broke/failed and it tipped over? Or perhaps data put it on his leg while the dude was sleeping just to show people how strong he was?

  • @JustinLRyan lol k

  • The look of astonishment on that actor is perfectly executed.

  • "Jaden... Put it down..."

*Drops the anvil on the guys leg*

  • Didn´t Data pull off another thing like this when he was cast back in time into 19th century San Francisco??

  • @KrautGoesWild he picked up an anvil with one hand. Bellboy saw him.

  • "Wait, I can totally explain...no I can't."

  • the epically heavy Styrofoam anvil of doom! Only someone who posses Data's Chuck Norris ball busting powers of fury can defeat it!

  • Id like to see this episode

  • That's the guy from friends isn't it?

  • Hey! Mr I-Need-A-Lever is the bartender from the Klingon game ^^

  • I sound so sad but when I watched this episode all I wanted to do was play with his hair xD

Especially at the beginning when it's all messed up!

    Ohhhhh!!

    Love Data!!! <3

  • <3 data :D

  • When they go back in time or something noone thinks Data looks strange....

  • @Neropoo They determined that the cause for his unusual appearance was that he was an "ice man" from the mountains, also explaining his super android strength.

  • According to the Episode "Inheritance" Data weighs approx 100 kilograms.. or 220lbs

In "Measure of a Man" he bends a rod that Riker claims has a Tensile Strength of 40 Kilobars.. or 258 tons/inch²

  • @MrHoppers002 Well he did catch one of Colossus' punches in a Marvel Crossover.

  • good memory. yes data did catch colossus punch he got hurled back into a wall in the x-mansion and the reaction data said was "fascinating". Colossus had that "damn you are strong kind of look" on his face. Good crossover. It was a shame that the TNG crossover was better than the TOS crossover and the star trek characters didn't have better action panels. I mean picard actually blew up a sentinel with his phaser. Kirk only got to vaporize gary mitchell (who's a god by the way).

  • Reminds me of the Shrike in Hyperion. It was not much bigger than a large man but weighed more than 2000lbs.

  • I love how obviously light the anvil is after Data puts it down. It wobbles a bit...just like polystyrene. :-p

And yeah I don't think Data is really all THAT heavy, so he wouldn't be an effective counterbalance. Even with all that circuitry and metal in him, 24th century technology should allow him to weight less than 300 lbs.

Still one of my fave episodes of TNG though. :)

  • those guys who couldn't lift it are such pussies

  • thats some heavy polystyrene!

  • Jayden.... just put... the anvil.. down.

  • WITCH! WITCH! xD

  • BUUUUURN HER...er, HIIIIM!

  • Who are you who are so wise in the ways of science?

  • It doesn't seem physically possible that Data could pick up the anvil. Regardless of his strength, it's a simple balance issue. He simply would have lacked the counterbalance to keep the anvil upright. In other words, the massive weight of the anvil in front of him would have tipped him over. Think of a crane, and how they have massive counterweights & very wide leg stances to accommodate loads. Or how a cherry picker for car engines has very wide legs.

    Still badass, though. :)

  • Data must weigh much more than the anvil though. He is made of "nuts and bolts".

  • Well if his strength is great enough, i don't think it would be a problem really. Ants can lift far more than their own weight, and since they carry their loads near the front ends of their bodies you'd think they would tip frontward, but they don't.

  • Actually, I think Data's mass is probably much higher than that of the anvil.

  • I liked the name Jayden it fit him ^^

  • so the kids name is

Jayden James Spears? Auts! Poor kid.

  • not a fan of Britney Spears?

don't blame the kid just cause you don't like the paren't.......anyway, Jayden James seems a good name, though as Oxbumagirl said...ouch for the full name...

  • Maybe they'll cal him JJ ^^

  • Everything fits Data ^_^

  • How rude they didn't even say thankyou to Data for lifting the anvil pffft people these days.

  • @Chapsxo Then you will be highly disappointed if I tell you that at the end of the episode that lever you see in the blacksmiths hands ended up stabbing Data to death :)

  • @Chapsxo Not "these days"; its more like in 300 years.

  • i think the whole premise of the anvil, that it fell because radiation weakened the wooden supports is bullshit, when have you ever heard of radiation structurally weakening anything? and even if it did, everyone in the village would have been long dead by then, but ill let it pass as it was a plot device. just something that always bothered me, even back then.

  • i think ur foot would explode if an anvil hit it because of blood pressure

  • nope.

  • wrong i have seen it happen in real life and the guys leg just snapped. strange thing was he said it didn't hurt just went numb

  • i dunno, it sounded like sumthin heavy

  • It sounded like hollow metal. It would probably still be extraordinarily heavy if that was so, so the sound was probably added.

  • Data passed gas as he lifted the heavy object - I could hear it. Therefore, he did have to exert himself somewhat to accomplish this feat.

  • Can Worf do that too?

  • Seeing an ordinary man lifting 1000 pounds without sove visable effort of exertion would be astonishing to the ordinary human...

  • That's either my favorite or one of my favorite outfits that he's worn....no diggity.

  • me too.

  • Brent Spiner gets all the best outfits. Apart from John de Lancie (Q).
