ya I live in grand forks and we got lucky my dad stayed all throughout the flood and he sandbagged our house and we only lost the things in our basment
My sister and her husband who lost everything didn't even get that check. People who didnt even need it went and got it. Because she left grandforks to stay with me she wasn't able to get it. They should of only gave it if familys had proof there house was flooded.
@leann824. Sorry about your sister, but I highly doubt that many people with no flood damage got checks. Pretty much everyone in EGF and most in GF had some damage. Even flooded basements cost thousands of dollars to clean up and repair.
