- Changing the foot of the chain.

- He could have played the comedy while Amanda kill him with a plastic bag

Another thing is Mallick didn't burn the nerve gas house down as the "8 people" don't add up to the bodies in there - Adam and Zepp and Xaviers bodies where not found as they are still there in Saw 3D. However Mallick mentioned his drug dealer went missing after the house was burnt down so - that would be Xavier so the fire was before Saw 2!
