when a priest molest a child everyone condemn the catholic church, why don't they do the same thing here? they try to say it's ok it by saying that aisha could have said no to the marriage! today women in some countries still can't say no, why on earth do we assume that the poor child had any say in what was happing to her. The fact every by the practice back in those days, having sex with a child was still wrong, they waited for the children (both girls and boys) to reach puberty

The imam answers him by saying: "Do not harm her if she cannot take intercourse but you may hug her, kiss her, and ejaculate between her legs" i.e. "thigh" her, as the fatwah in question indicates.

How do I know if a girl is "physically sexually mature" - surely it is an objective definition otherwise paedophiles would be claiming little girls are "physically sexually mature" over some subjective judgement such as the length of their hair.

I have my opinions sure, but I am a product of 21st century British culture and so my opinion will be influenced by subjectivity. If I had been born in exactly the same place 200 years ago my opinion would most likely be different.

So I am asking you what ALLAH says are the signs of physical sexual maturity, as Allah is objective and all-knowing.

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. All you have to do to confirm this is to look at the minimum age for marital consent throughout the world. There isn't even a single age defined in the USA, and that's a single country. Of course this is further confounded by the fact that the opinions in these countries changes over time too so we have no way of knowing we are right NOW.

So, what is Allah's objective and infinite wisdom? How does Allah define it?

@RefutingActs17 are you saying that a 7 year old girl who starts menstruating transforms into a "woman" overnight?, a girl who was considered a child yesterday is now all of a sudden a "woman". A 7 year old girl who menstruates is psychologically, emotionally and visibly no different to a non-menstruating 7 year old, you have a very weird concept of maturity.

Puberty does not take place overnight. I think you and I have both experienced it at one time in our lives (I hope). Furthermore, culturally I would not support child marriages as our times do not allow marriages of such a thing to take place, depending on where you live. However I do not forbid it.
