I live in Gurdon. Always have and probably always will. I have been to the light many times. I can tell you from first hand experience i is no tail lights. most of the time you have to walk at least a mile to see it. at tht far you cant see the cars hardly if at all. I love going!! If you have never been i recommend you go! :)
I went there tonight and I went the route where the railroad curves up making kinda a L shape. There is a sign in the middle of the railroad. I walked I say quit a ways maybe not even 1/4 of a mile cause people say you see it good. I was yelling at it trying to make it angry so it would come out. Then all the sudden I saw a light glow on off on off and I ran back to the car where my g/f was and got the hell out!!!!
I am from Gurdon, grew up here & still live here I've been to the track most of my life. I have seen it more then once. It is not cars nor a gas leak. It is by far the most epic thing I've ever seen. I'm now 28 years old and my kids are interested in going to see it for themselves. We live 2 blocks from the sticky road crossing And will b going next weekend. So for those of u who haven't been and don't believe. Don't knock it or dismiss it until u have seen it first hand.
It is car lights for sure. I went there last night. Walked until we got between the 6th and 7th trestle. As told by others I believed the hike was too far to make car lights plausible but After we saw the lights several times I called a couple in our group who stayed at the car and via cell phone we confirmed that EVERY time we saw lights a car was crossing the railroad tracks. We saw red when cars were headed into gurdon, white to bluish when headed out. Don't believe me, try it yourself
people have been seeing this light for decades before those highways were there. those arent cars. there have been scientists, physics professors, unsolved mysteries, etc there and there has not been a single explanation for this light. i went out this weekend and saw it myself. people see it every time they go if they are patient enough. definitely not a hoax.
Hey guys.. this is REAL... I was the first person to ever catch it on tape ( for the show Real Scary Stories... and I was out there for about 5 hours with the light... and he passed through us at one point.. which I have on tape as well. Ive never experienced ANYthing like it before in my life. No cars. No swamp gas. When you see Mr. Mcclain with your own eyes, you will know he is there.
My dad was born and raised in Arkansas until he moved to California when he was 16. He tells me about this Light (He calls it the Senath Light, i dont know if thats another name for it or not) and he's dying to take me to see it! He's dying to go back to arkansas haha
We've been back in the last few months and we are doing different test to try and debunk this place. The scariest thing I've ran into there was other people who too were ghost hunting and I've gotta tell you that was some epic stuff seeing a full body walking towards you in the middle of nowhere.. and it was alive lol. I've had something touch me along my nose between my eyes also, but that wasn't ghost hunting so much as medium-ship that we were doing. Either or I'll letcha know what we find
@MyTwoCentsAreFree Swamp gases are one theory but the lights have been seen on a windy night.. Friction from quartz creating electricity at the New Madrid fault line is another theory.
I have been wanting to check out the Gurdon light for years but never had made it down there. What time of night or year is the best time to see it? I think it is the same phenomenon as the Joplin spook light which I have video of.
You can't scare the light away. It's not really a light. It is from a past life...that was a stupid comment. Just because you don't believe in it doesn't mean you have to make yourself sound like a dumbass. I live in Arkansas and I know for a fact this is real. Good luck scaring this shit off. When you do post a video so we can all laugh at you.
I'M from near texarkana, and it seems Gurdon i nearby so i'm going to go by myself with the plan of scaring it away. You see, I dont even believe in it, but if it IS real, it needs to be scared off. and if it IS true, then what will it do? kill me and take me to its hell? then what? Gurdon will be infest with 2 lights? i think i should take a camera out and point it to a point of light and say " oh thats unexplainable maybe tahts a ghost" and shake the camera around.
Yea...My friend went there and saw the light....He started to follow it but it started to get farther and farther away from him so they Just desided to leave well we he turned around the light was right there in front of him...
Poor Poor quality video . Visited the area recently . The crossing where the cars are are distinguishable from the red tail lights, normaly people slow down when crossing . I don't see red here, just making a statement . We saw the light as well and it appeared and disappeared but it was not a car, it flux'd in a pattern similar to this . Good job ghost hunters .
@ageless0777 The theory that the light is caused by headlights/taillights is BS. That interstate opened in the 1970's while people have been talking about this light since the 1930's. The first sighting was a conductor named John who reported it in 1933. He was on the back of the train caboose and said the light followed the train. John died in 1989. I believe in ghosts, but believe they are rare.
