@Baseballstud5964 They are great heads! the low end torque was awesome and I owe it to those heads. I had a steel set of 441 heads on this bottom end with a magnum 280 cam for a very short amount of time and it had NOTHIN on this set up. The heads are the key to this and nearly every engine, and AFR makes the best! (at least for small block chev :) )
Oh also capone, the truck runs an electric fan set up with adjustable thermostat. So no annoying and loud fan on the front. Plus whos going to stick a fan on such a sexy pully set up? I still need to get the cone front for the water pump pulley that March sells, apparently it doesnt come in the kit...but the alternator one does.
@caponeauto I liked the wire looms too, Ive had em since the original engine I built for my truck. But when we first fired it up on the dyno it had a slight miss to it, that I couldnt even hear actually, the dyno operator noticed it. Shut the lights off in the dyno room when it was running and it was arcing out from the wire looms to the valve cover studs where theyre normally mounted to. just pulled em off for the rest of session
nice street cam used it in a nova(the one w/all the airbrushing)w/the big runner cnc afr headsmade 390ish hp w/480ft on chass dyno.has a roller cam now.open n 4hole spacer did no good w/nove too.like yer wire holders, how come they dissapear.now once u get the asseries on(alt, power st' fan)you ll have a high 3-400 hp motor.
AFR makes the best heads. I swear by them
