Great Robin..I love him and everything he did: alone, with C. Twins, and especially with the Big Maestro Harold Budd..even if Harold is 75, they still work together: listen to their last CD "Bordeaux" (2011) also here on You Tube
Those few of us who know the Cocteau Twins, are fortunate, to tell you the truth - I don't want other people to understand them. I hide them in my spirit and keep it a mystery as Liz does with her lyrics. Some things you don't have to comprehend in order to feel.
If Heaven is anything like this - then take me now...!
Robin Guthrie is a true original and his guitar playing is instantly recognizable. He's been doing reverb-drenched guitar textures since the early 80s and has been copied by everyone from Daniel Lanois, to the Edge of U2, to Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine.
his music is so beautiful, it makes me feel like i'm in heaven and he's my own personal angel, serenading me with his beautiful music for all eternity
Robin Guthrie was the guitarist for the band The Cocteau Twins. He does a form of shoegaze that's kind of like dreampop. If you like him check out the band he was in. Also check out Slowdive. There is a whole amazing genre that you have yet to tap into.
Super compozitie! Multumesc!
I love this musician, his music go deep inside my soul.

This song helped me get through some rough times. It's one of those tracks that you can listen to when you feel really low.

You can almost hear Liz Fraser in the background.

Great show that one :), get hold of 'before the day breaks' by Budd and Guthrie, the track 'how close your soul' is a masterpiece.
