  • Great Robin..I love him and everything he did: alone, with C. Twins, and especially with the Big Maestro Harold Budd..even if Harold is 75, they still work together: listen to their last CD "Bordeaux" (2011) also here on You Tube

and it sounded awfully familiar... :S

  • @dawkzfunk good ear. its a pretty common chord progression on guitar.

  • A majestic piece of depth and beauty. Mind-blowing...

1:35 across and I'm already floating through the constellations.

    I DiG ROBiN GUTHRiE!!

  • pure aural beauty

  • Robin Guthrie is a true original and his guitar playing is instantly recognizable. He's been doing reverb-drenched guitar textures since the early 80s and has been copied by everyone from Daniel Lanois, to the Edge of U2, to Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine.

  • This song was written for the ocean

  • I first heard this on Monkey Dust and just had to find out more about it. It is truly amazing music.

  • Great show that one :), get hold of 'before the day breaks' by Budd and Guthrie, the track 'how close your soul' is a masterpiece.

  • Agreed. Maybe the best ambient song ever.

  • @Shadowavenger666

  • i AM A classic rock fan yet i very much like this

    whoo robin

btw since this song was in echos of forgotten places does robin support urbex

  • Robin Guthrie was the guitarist for the band The Cocteau Twins. He does a form of shoegaze that's kind of like dreampop. If you like him check out the band he was in. Also check out Slowdive. There is a whole amazing genre that you have yet to tap into.

  • Smooooooooooth....

  • yesssssssssssssssssssssss

  • multumesc !

  • This music has a metallic excellence to it :D

  • thanks

  • Robin always knows how to put a smile on my face and, as always, simplicity is the key.

    Excellent...!

  • thanks !

  • Superb ! superb !!!!!!!

Super compozitie! Multumesc!

  • Si... evident, 5***** ca mai mult nu se poate.

  • romanian is such a cool language

  • multumesc !
