all the comments say all i want to say. especially it feels like the heavens and earth are listening in when he recites. A recitation witnessed by the angels. A truly blessed reciter. Alhamdulillah that we were blessed to witness Allah's blessing in the sheikh his servant.
SubhanAllah, Sheikh Ali Jaber was the first reciter I remember hearing as a kid - right from before I started schooling. Some 20 years later, this still brings tears to my eyes.
I think that the recitation of our beloved Sheik Ali Jaber is one of very best. His is the the one I listen to and try to fashion my own recitation after. May Allah reward him with the firdoos.
I doubt this is his first prayer lead in Masjid-Al Haram because they didn't have audio recorders with this quality back then in the year 1986; Maybe they did, but I doubt it
in sheikh ali jaber's all recitation its all from the early 80's and you can see the videos from sheikh ali jaber leading taraweeh in youtube and in that video its from 1980 until 1989!
@OmarChannel You're probably right. However, listen to his voice. It sounds pretty different than the later years, so it's definitely one of his early days/years as Imam.
After an imam recites surah fatiha, does he himself say ameen? Cause here in Canada I havent heard of this but sometimes in Mecca this happens (Ali Jabir didn't say it in this video)
After the Imam recites Al-Fatiha, it is preffered to say Ameen for both the imam and the ppl praying behing him. Look into details in the end of Surat Al-Fatiha Tafsir Ibn Kathir. (Can be found online)

Brother It Depends On What Madhab You Follow I Think.
Hanafi Madhab Says Ameen Should Be Said Softly.

Yes it is for the imam to say imam. The Imam Most of the time says it in his head. It truly is the best to say it no what the situation is!
