its well known that Bridges gave up his marijuana use during the making of this film as he wanted to have a different perspective on it and a "clear mind". He does regularly use cannabis now though for spiritual and medical reasons as well as others. He's a true pioneer for weed and is very proactive in its legalization.

Very entertaining movie with weird but intriguing storyline and nice acting. Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore and Steve Buscemi did a great job. I think Tara Reid deserved more screen time as well. 'The Big Lebowski' is one of my favorite comedies ever (along with Heartbreakers, Meet the Fockers, Miss Congeniality, The Gods Must Be Crazy 2, Made In America, Elvis Has Left the Building and some others)
