Why do the birds go on singing?

Why does the sea rush to shore? It all seems so meaningless when you look at it from an individuals perspective. For me it only gives meaning if it all culiminates in the existence of humans. We on top of it all. Im not saying thats the way it is, but its crazy how meaningless it all is if not... ;-)

I've loved this song for years.. when my mum died when i was little, it felt like the end of the world to me, and i couldn't understand why everyone just kept going on with their every day life ...for years i pictured this playing at my funeral, after I suicided, just to give my family an idea of how I felt... Now I just love the song.ha
