This video is in my top 15 Tull video's......the 2nd best guitar video.....Dark Ages is no. 1......Tuletti projectis number #1......nothing anywhere can touch it......the bass & lead guitar duet is unbelieveable......listen to over & over & over and never get tired of it is true music
Great stuff, except I wish they wouldn't have skipped the 2nd verse ("Let me find you a filly for your proud stallion seed / To keep the old line going".... etc.). Cool violin accompaniment by Jobson - nice 'countermelody' especially around 2:05-2:20 or so, plus the fast part.
I think that Eddie Jobson is not an unknown musician as it was stated. At least in the prog world. Eddie was one of the biggest, I usually put him in almost the same level I put my two fav keyboardist: Emerson and Wakeman, Eddie is (was?) a virtuoso and versatile musician. I really really really sorry that he decided to finish his career so early... Besides some pop tunes, UK was probably one of the more impressive time of all times...
I saw the Tull tour with UK twice and i would hardly say UK blew them off the stage. In fact my impression at the time is UK was guilty to a much higher degree of the excess which prog rock was usually accused, Tull was and is an underappreciated if briefly famous, natural force.
I saw the Danger Money tour (where UK supported Tull) and they were AMAZING and I'd love a reunion or to see Jobson & Bozzio work together agaion.
I don't think it's fair you accuse UK of being "guilty..of the excess which prog rock was usually accused" and in the same breath defend Tull, when Ian Anderson is the prime offender of said "offense" - with the biggest ego and self-promotion instinct to boot. God bless him and his brilliant writing, despite the tiresome posturing/flailing...
Jobson is one of the best, yet unknown musicians out there. He has virtually disappeared and hasn't put any musuc out in some time. There is little or no Jobson on you tube. Some forget but this tour happened because U.K.( Jobson, wetton, bozzio) opened up for Tull the year before and blew them off the stage and i guess gave Ian Anderson an appreciation for Jobsons skills
Yes indeed. And God bless Mark Craney!Phenominal drummer!I just wish someone would post "Aqualung" from slipstream.Watched it on Mtv when they aired it in the early 1980's.Incredible version,& Mark lets rip at the end of it!!!!!

The first time I saw this video, I hated it.
Now, I can appreciate it for it's brilliance.
