This is like what Genome MIDI Sequencer does; not to say that you should get Music Studio instead, because there're some things it cant do.. I'm not surprised you're adding it though, it's a genius idea...
Great, will the imported sounds be saved in your project when you've recorded it and then closes the third party app? Greatt app btw, and keep those marvellous features coming!
@Xewton@kabadabadysh No, it's not impossible. If you recorded the playing of the background app sounds into an audio file, instead of MIDI, it would play back. You just wouldn't be able to use traditional MIDI piano roll editing and it would take up more space/memory. But you guys at Xewton should see if you can get that to work. It would be awesome if I could record NLog with music studio.
@FRB1420 "If you recorded the playing of the background app sounds into an audio file" -> this (recording another app's sound live) is what's not possible. Or do you know any app that can do it? We'd be delighted if there were a way around this limitation.
YAMAHA PSR-293 USB MIDI works thru ARKVIEW USB 7 port HUB, i got more feasible.

@iOSMusician5 Yes, it's not a new feature but a by-product of our CoreMIDI implementation since January 2011 (v1.6.1)

@kabadabadysh No, recording the sound of other (background) apps is currently impossible under iOS.
