@craigandjolene that's cause Roy wouldn't start talking, prefering to milk the ovation like the arrogant ass he has always been. Guy is ten times the gentleman Roy will ever be
@myunclesnephew....uhhh, what ? Roy enjoyed the moment is all, wouldn't you? Regardless of what many would say, Patrick was all-class, too; despite his unceremonious exit from MTL, when he later, with Colorado won his 3rd - record! - Conn Smythe in 2001, he barely acknowleged it and preferred to let the spotlight go where it rightly belonged - on Ray Bourque's first-ever Stanley Cup. Nothing against Lafleur at all, love the guy, in fact, but Roy's just as much a legend and gentleman, himself!
your shitting me,ive been waiting for them to play the minnesota north stars, and the hartford whalers, what about winnepeg jets,i havent seen them or the quebec nordiques, how come i never see these teams play any more it seems i never see them on the schedule anymore whats up.
@ur1sab, yeah he does, sadly! I wished Mr. Hockey would have said a few nice words about the Rocket especially after holding up his #9 jersey in front of 21,273 Habs fans!
Hey Cuff, you sound like a Laffs fan who is looking for attention, bitter, jealous and filled with envy at what your miserable team will never be able to match! Get over it! Put your misery and bitterness! Life is good!
Cuff! Amen to that! I've ALWAYS liked the California Golden Seals! I've watched their video from Musselman a few times! Gilles Meloche, Denis Maruk, the early years of the 'Oakland' Seals with 6 200 fans at their games, Crazy George, etc.! I love 'em...bring 'em back...seriously!! All I'm asking brother is for you to cool off on the frogs / Habs rhetoric! Don't need that kind of stuff! Seriously, man! Go Habs go!! And go Golden Seals go! Cheers!
There was alot of Hall Of Famers who wore # 9 in the NHL. Johnny Buyck Boston Bruins, Lanny McDonald Calgary Falmes, Bobby Hull Chicago Blackhawks, Gordie Howe Detroit Redwings, Glenn Anderson Edmonton Oilers, Clark Gillies NY Islanders and Andy Bathgate NY rangers.
I think the english translation sucked... kinda ruined the message. I switched to the french station when that started. No translations there for anglais :)
Class act Gordie Howe....thank you.

Roy or Lafleur - who got the bigger ovation? I'd say the fans cheered louder for Roy.
