@cristianely2005 inferior online play to 360, a somewhat smaller library of great games compared to the 360, less fun, more "hardcore" horseshit, add on the fact that amazing games like COD: MW2, COD: BO, GTA IV and many others are ALSO on the 360, and with Xbox Live, again, better online play. Also, wonderful originals like Halo 3 and Reach, Fable II and III, Gears of War series, Mass Effect series, etc. ALSO, best controller ever. And it's not even my favorite system! That's the SNES.

Not a nintendo fanboy here, but Nintendo Is'nt afraid to make new changes. The wii and DS for instance. it was a hit. All Sony and Microsoft do is copy each other. Sony copys the wii with its new Sony "move" controller, and Microsoft copys with its new Natal.
The "Move" controller was in development before the Wii if I'm correct. I'd have to do some looking, but I'm pretty sure that's a fact. Let me know if I'm wrong (And don't just make a guess, or assumption. >.>, You'd be doing the same I am and we'll get no where.) But I've got nothing against Nintendo. I've always, and always will love them. ^_^

Pretty soon it was toast. sob, sniffle...tissue please. Got a used one though for $20 and had the SNES at the time, so it wasn't that bad.
I have a NES system. but, to be fair (and this is my opinion) I've always preferred the mega drive. The main reason is because I've always preferred sonic to mario and I've seen more titles that I like on the SEGA consoles (plus, I still have the console), but, both systems are f*****g awsome!!!
one problem, the nes library was a mine, there were good games and there were the horrible games, and there were a crap load of unlicensed games for the system as well.
Haha the only 2D gaming i like is Sonic...not sure why...guess i had to play them more when i was younger...i love PS1 games...saturn games...dreamcast games...ps2 games...ps3 games...love them

as good and advanced as a c64 was, it was a fully fledged computer and no console, therefore it has no place in a listing of the best consoles of all times.
when you play NES you realize that the games are SUPER simple but time and time again you end up restarting the game cause you just cant get past a certain level... i never see myself doing this with an up to date system if i cant do it then fuck it i'll turn the pos off and call it a night, a game should be a game not some fucking rocket science experiment.

I was born in 1981 and got my first computer the C64 at the age of 4 which makes it 1985.
I also grew up on the NES,SNES,Genesis during their hey days as well.
PS2 is still the best system ever because the sheer number of quality games outweighs the number of quality of games on the older systems like the NES,Genesis,SNES,2600 and such.
I have no disrepect for the older consoles since I grew up on them, but still PS2 is tops.

I have every single console since the days of the NES. Apart from one......I will never own a 360, there has only been one good game so far in my opion which makes its stand out, and that is Fable......My favorite console of all time has to be the Sega Megadrive(Genesis) it came into my life at the right time. Also it has a certain charm, sadly I can't put it into words...I agree that the NES should be in the top 3.

I'm sorry, I do agree on the DS part, but that is mostly because third party publicers actually care for it. I do kinda like the wii but I see why publishers don't seem to be happy with it. On top of that, nintendo isn't helping with it's current state of mind either. I'm checking out the new wario land wii right now, looks cool besides the shaking part.
I know some people can enjoy the wii a lot, but I think nintendo screwed up myself.

But it was mostly a game machine. It was never taken seriously in the business area, and most schools that I know of used Apple II's and later moved to Mac's
So I'd consider it a console.
But fine, The PS2 is still tops with me, with the Genesis being 2nd for it's kick ass games.

I disagree TenguGuy, The Commodore 64 is a worthy platform to be named the best of all time.
With the greatness of the SID chip and some really great exclusive games to it, it earned it's place alongside the best of all time.

as good and advanced as a c64 was, it was a fully fledged computer and no console, therefore it has no place in a listing of the best consoles of all times.

when you play NES you realize that the games are SUPER simple but time and time again you end up restarting the game cause you just cant get past a certain level... i never see myself doing this with an up to date system if i cant do it then fuck it i'll turn the pos off and call it a night, a game should be a game not some fucking rocket science experiment.

The PlayStation one is my favorite console of all time. I had the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis they day came out, but the PlayStation one just kick ass with tittle like metal gear solid, final fantasy 7, Castlevania, Dragon ball gt final bouts, Resident Evil, pluse more @_@;;;;;

I think it would be fair to say Playstation played a HUGE part in modernising the gaming industry ;) It just changed everything, as did the NES when it had its time.

Because I grew up with the Commodore 64 as a kid.
I was born in 1981 and got my first computer the C64 at the age of 4 which makes it 1985.
I also grew up on the NES,SNES,Genesis during their hey days as well.
PS2 is still the best system ever because the sheer number of quality games outweighs the number of quality of games on the older systems like the NES,Genesis,SNES,2600 and such.
I have no disrepect for the older consoles since I grew up on them, but still PS2 is tops.

I have every single console since the days of the NES. Apart from one......I will never own a 360, there has only been one good game so far in my opion which makes its stand out, and that is Fable......My favorite console of all time has to be the Sega Megadrive(Genesis) it came into my life at the right time. Also it has a certain charm, sadly I can't put it into words...I agree that the NES should be in the top 3.

I'm sorry, I do agree on the DS part, but that is mostly because third party publicers actually care for it. I do kinda like the wii but I see why publishers don't seem to be happy with it. On top of that, nintendo isn't helping with it's current state of mind either. I'm checking out the new wario land wii right now, looks cool besides the shaking part.
I know some people can enjoy the wii a lot, but I think nintendo screwed up myself.
