You guys do know when you street race your putting your lives and other drivers lives in danger. If you wrecked and hit another car and killed a little kid how would you live with yourself?
A few problems. 1) Police in the world outnumber "street racers" with ease. 2) No matter how fast your car is, it isn't going to outrun a helicopter. 3) Don't hate cops, people tend to hate the police until that person needs the aid of the them.
It is possible to outrun the helicopter and even the news helicopter which is much faster in most large cities. Drive / ride towards the airport. I takes time for them to get clearance to enter the fly zone. You better be averaging well over 130 or your caught. that speed is difficult in a car. It is much easier on a motorcycle but you may have to split some cars.
Most real street racers have done it but are not stupid enough to post the get away.

I think you meant to say "radio" instead of "helicoptor". I've seen plenty of chases where the suspect has easily walked away from a pursuing chopper. It's even easier to do with on a sport bike.
@getmeagator i'd be interested in seeing just 3 examples of the 'plenty' of car chases where the driver outran a chopper....the average chopper speed is around 150 mph, now add in that they don't have to slow down for curves/street lights/traffic, they have zoom cameras of something like 40x power, top it off with a long-range birds-eye view and you see how damn difficult it is to get out of a choppers sight; even on a sportbike
@swordsman3000 About once a day on TruTV I see footage of a high-speed pursuit where the chopper pilot says he can't keep up with the suspect vehicle. Of course the guy always wrecks or gets spike stripped (radio backup sound familiar?), but that's because they don't show any footage of the countless people that manage to escape. They don't want to give the public the idea that it IS possible to outrun the cops.
@getmeagator No it isn't. They get your plate, back off, let you go, and wait for you at your house. The only way you can out run them is if you don't have a license plate. As for the "Can't keep up" that's the news choppers, not the police ones which are generally a little faster.

The only problem with street racing now is that it will be difficult to escape the police anymore considering the newest addition to the police fleet. In 2012 police will be issued the new All-Wheel-Drive Ford Taurus Sho. It is equipped with the new 3.5 L EcoBoost V6 twin-turbo rated at 272 kW aka 365 hp, 350 lb-ft of torque. It is also equipped with a 6-speed transmission. So, unless you are packing some serious mods under your hood, and out of this world handling, you won't get very far.

@AngelicTonyDawg for them not to catch you with a 600 plus, it's still slim next to none. they would stop not because they can't catch you but becasue of other cars. if the chopper cames in, they are just watching, so the cop can slow down some, but then theres the raido. and thats all you need. everybody knows, to get away, get out of there line of sight 50/ 50, do that, make some quick turns. and go back the other way if you can, works everytime, or cops are here are dumb, one or the other

lol the thing people that don't race don't realize is that if you do it smart then the only person you can hurt is yourself. I've been racing for years and the ony time anyone even gets in a litte fender bender is when the cops show up and you have to get out. I don't condone street racing on streets that are ocupied but I do when it is safe for the people that aren't participating in it. and the cops won't take the risk of chasing you if there are other cars that didn't run. it would be stupid

A few problems. 1) Police in the world outnumber "street racers" with ease. 2) No matter how fast your car is, it isn't going to outrun a helicopter. 3) Don't hate cops, people tend to hate the police until that person needs the aid of the them.

It is possible to outrun the helicopter and even the news helicopter which is much faster in most large cities. Drive / ride towards the airport. I takes time for them to get clearance to enter the fly zone. You better be averaging well over 130 or your caught. that speed is difficult in a car. It is much easier on a motorcycle but you may have to split some cars.
Most real street racers have done it but are not stupid enough to post the get away.

I think you meant to say "radio" instead of "helicoptor". I've seen plenty of chases where the suspect has easily walked away from a pursuing chopper. It's even easier to do with on a sport bike.

@getmeagator i'd be interested in seeing just 3 examples of the 'plenty' of car chases where the driver outran a chopper....the average chopper speed is around 150 mph, now add in that they don't have to slow down for curves/street lights/traffic, they have zoom cameras of something like 40x power, top it off with a long-range birds-eye view and you see how damn difficult it is to get out of a choppers sight; even on a sportbike

@swordsman3000 About once a day on TruTV I see footage of a high-speed pursuit where the chopper pilot says he can't keep up with the suspect vehicle. Of course the guy always wrecks or gets spike stripped (radio backup sound familiar?), but that's because they don't show any footage of the countless people that manage to escape. They don't want to give the public the idea that it IS possible to outrun the cops.

@getmeagator No it isn't. They get your plate, back off, let you go, and wait for you at your house. The only way you can out run them is if you don't have a license plate. As for the "Can't keep up" that's the news choppers, not the police ones which are generally a little faster.

The only problem with street racing now is that it will be difficult to escape the police anymore considering the newest addition to the police fleet. In 2012 police will be issued the new All-Wheel-Drive Ford Taurus Sho. It is equipped with the new 3.5 L EcoBoost V6 twin-turbo rated at 272 kW aka 365 hp, 350 lb-ft of torque. It is also equipped with a 6-speed transmission. So, unless you are packing some serious mods under your hood, and out of this world handling, you won't get very far.
